who bought the computer/who pays for the net and who's house is it. he must feel that she is not responsible enough to be trusted. If he finds out that you have reinstalled window i feel that you will get it in the neck and that she will have no computer. best thing is to earn his trust. or reinstall windows

if you tested and it worked maybe it was damaged during transit (if one of your wires became loose from its spade connector it can cause the wire to overheat -- it happend to me)

if you have the taps why not have a go yourself just turn off the water supply (and maybe your boiler) you may need one of these http://www.wickes.co.uk/bin/venda?ex=co_wizr-locayta&template=wz_locayta&pageno=1&perpage=9&collate=cat%3Aivtype%3Aprice%3Apdxtpromotion&refine_sort_alph=pdxtdoorwid&threshold=90&fieldrtype=type&termtextrtype=invt&typertype=exact&typekeywordsearch=keyword&termtextkeywordsearch=basin+wrench but it should take no more than a an hour for a professional so you are looking at the £40 to 50 mark (plus taps)

Asda is not my favourite place but we use it on occasions as its the closest and ive complained on a few occasions (pricing errors, fresh burgers which collapsed to name a few) and ive always had a satisfactory outcome. Asda must be doing something right as they are the most popular supermarket. Tescos have got 24 cans for a tenner at the moment (carlsberg, fosters and boddys) just thought id mention it as we are on the topic of supermarkets.
