  1. West 10 on Fulwood Rd gets my vote As does Zeugma on London Rd... (although not as "posh" as others) Always heard good things about 23 Went to the Med restaurant... must admit, I wasn't all that impressed.
  2. http://www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk/search.php ... some of the places which you would consider to be compliant with hygeine etc... score zero!
  3. bearteacher... I don't understand why you're limiting yourself to West St.. Get yourself out a bit further from the town centre! A short bus ride away... up Glossop Rd and then towards Whitham... they're are loads of places for fish and chips. Don't bother going for a curry there though Balti King is sh*t!
  4. went with my folks on Sunday Had a really nice meal... Chicken and Chilli Balti etc Lovely setting, 5 min wait to get a table... however it did fill uo and people were waiting longer (nice seating/bar area to wait in) All in all... pretty good. PS Take a torch as it's quite dark in there and difficult to read the menus...
  5. If you want a decent curry... jump in a cab and ask them to take you to Mangla... he'll know where it is and here's why i reckon it'd be good Taxi there and back up to £8 (Black cab, you can get a private hire for cheaper) Food.. free poppadoms and pickles, two curries, chapattis, rice etc... £10 Take your own booze or water there is free Job done ;-) There aren't many cheap curry houses in town. You need to head a but further a field i'm afraid PS You could even jump on a bus... but i'm not sure which one tales you up to Spital Hill.. or back (help anyone?)
  6. Does anyone know if they are touring soon at all?
  7. I'm in a simliar predicament. Thisis what I'm suggesting... We're starting in the afternoon on Div St and playing some pool / drinking at Common Room or Vodka Rev, then heading to Freshmans to shop..eating on London Rd, then heading home to get dressed up and head out... eventually ending up at Hot Pants ;-) Hope this helped
