  10. i have just downloaded orbitdownloader and used it to save youtube videos, which all went fine, but how do i now convert the downloaded vid from an flv file to an mp4 so i can watch it and burn to disc??? :help:
  11. now don't get me wrong, i am for free enterprise, but why the hell do we need another takeaway place in hillsborough. I was walking through there yesterday and noticed the unit that used to be, i think, a solicitors just before tho electrical store, they were getting it set up for the usual kebab/pizza/indian delights that we already have in abundance round here (middlewood shops springs to mind). like i said, i am all for free enterprise, but is this all the best we can offer for hillsborough, takeaway and charity shops. ps, love the new sweet shop
  12. we went away for a week and unplugged everything, got back last saturday and plugged everything back in and virgin box won't let us watch any on demand stuff, just quotes error code 1034. thought it was just me, thank god its not, phoned em up an someone is coming out on saturday to fix it, not bad for 14 years of cable and this is the 1st problem we have had.
  13. Tell me about it, i live near middlewood shops an its like blackpool at night, 4 chinese, 2 indian, 3 pizza, 1 potato, kfc an an off licence, its brilliant, i used to weigh 12 stone but am now 56 stone, lol
  14. Hey, i know the woman who runs joint, will enquire for u, but she luvs her holidays an that is probably why its shut.
  15. What is it with the intellectualy challenged and their use of bad language when trying to string a sentence together. I ask because my wife, 3 daughters and i were walking through hillsborough on friday evening just past the co-op and there was one of these individuals stood with a young boy when a car went past playing loud music (don't get me started on those muppets) and all he could muster up from his very limited vocabulary was "how loud do these effin idiots have to play their effin music the stupid counts". Now swearing like that is bad enough, but there is no need for it when you are around children, makes you wonder what his parents were like when he was younger.
  16. Thanks for all the info, it came in handy. All up an running now, went with wired in the end, got a cellar so u can't see any cables and all running smoothly.
  17. Finally joining the internet revolution tomorrow with virgin media, hoooraayy! Jurt want to know, if we get a choice, which would be best to go with, a wireless router or the wired version. Not got a laptop so not bothered for that but do have a wii so would it be beneficial for that. Jus really concerned about wi-fi hackers thats all, an does the wireless router download any slower? Be glad for any advice.
  18. Try Active Archie, based up at Wisewood school. We booked them for our 2 daughters joint birthday in june, cost about £70 and worth every penny.
  19. Yeah, rachael and jason holyhead, their mum was my mums cousin
  20. Have been with cable, first as yorkshire cable then telewest and now as virgin, since they installed in the hillsborough area about 14 years ago and can say i have never had a single problem with it, or customer services to that. Not on broadband yet, installing that next weds, wahaaayyyy!!!!, so can't personally comment on that. I suppose its up to you to weigh up all the good and bad bits from these posts and choose what you think is best for you.
  21. Thanks for the advice guys, sussed it out now, just needed to play about with the settings a bit, ended up doing it on dvd cyberlink program, just a bit of a pc dummy.
  22. Might sound a bit thick but do you have to change the burn function from single layer dvd to dual layer. I ask because i recently purchased a compaq presario desktop pc and was doing file burning but found out one file was too big for a single disc, i checked out the specs for the pc at the pc world website and it says its dual layer. I purchased some dual layer discs to burn the files too, using roxio, i changed the disc type function to burn but it gets too 99% then spits out the disc, i want to know what i am doing wrong. I have looked thru all the settings but can't seem to find anything to help me. Any advice welcome
  23. Canton king, thats it, been trying to remember what it was called, thanks. Went for first time about 15 years ago, went down with brother in law and couldn't believe it when i saw the queue down past the proud potato, food was good, unbelievable pancake rolls! But have to agree with most posters, it is pretty poor now, quantity isn't always the best thing, much prefer the one opposite next to the bookies, crispy deep fried shredded chilli chicken and mixed houres d ouvres for 2 (ribs, satay chicken, prawn toast, crispy seaweed and spring rolls, yum yum)
