  1. http://neighbourhood.southyorkshire.police.uk/priorities/mosborough/birleymoorrdheathfieldrdsmalldalerdthornbridgedrhopedalerdchurdalerd5pmx3amalc I don't know Frecheville well, but the SNT seem to know that the area is causing residents problems. They look to have a monthly meeting, so it may be worthwhile speaking to them at that meeting if you haven't already had contact with any of their officers.
  2. http://www.yell.com/b/The+Door+Stripping+Co-Paint+Stripping-Sheffield-S62LL-3890107/index.html Used this firm down on Langsett Road a couple of times. They pick up and drop off once the doors have been dipped. Think it was something like £20 a door.
  3. Seen him myself a couple of years ago in Meadowhall with someone who I presume was his girlfriend.
  4. It's obstruction pure and simple. The police can issue a ticket for obstruction. If urgent access if required either in or out, the vehicle can be towed by the police.
  5. Some of the area to the side of where the carpark is now on Freedom Road has been cleared within the last month or so. Not had a close look, but from both Freedom Road and South Road the area is much tidier than it was. Any ideas who owns the land now?
  6. Tony Butterworth on Catch Bar Lane. Had mine serviced there a couple of months ago and seemed like really nice guys when I spoke with them. Pretty reasonable too. Dropped it in one day and it was ready the next. Avoid Langsett Cycles. Took them a week to service my bike and were very miserable when I want to pick it up!
  7. I'd speak to the Admissions Team at Howden House. They know their stuff and would be best placed to advise you. http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/education/information-for-parentscarers/admissions
  8. Whilst I agree that the thought of Sheffield holding an Ashes Test is a very interesting one, I don't think the site is big enough. It is in very close proximity to Coleridge Road, Ice Sheffield, the tram tracks, Sheffield Arena, the Insight building and Terry Street. Yes it is big enough to hold a cricket match, but not big enough for a test match given the size of the stands etc which would be required. I'm also not sure where the cars from Sheffield Arena would park when the Bowl is used as an overflow from concerts that are held there.
  9. Can anyone be a bit more specific regarding expactly where it is on Long Lane? Had a drive down from the Loxley Road end but couldn't seem to find it. Ended up at Concord.
  10. Does anyone know if Rise @ Hallamshire (formerly BRB) on West Street still does 2-4-1 on it's pizzas? They used to do 2-4-1 on Tuesdays and at one point I had a 2-4-1 card which you could use on pizzas any time. Can you still buy 2-4-1 cards?
  11. A lovely lady who works in John Lewis. As soon as I walked in, spotted that I was lost and directed me to where I needed to be straight away. Not often that someone is like that nowadays.
  12. I'm in the process of doing up my lovely Victorian terraced house in Walkley and was wanting to get hold of a couple of photos from around the time our house was built in 1900. I've found one photo on picturesheffield.com which is good, but does anybody know where else I can find photos from this period, whether it be online, at the library or elsewhere? Cheers
  13. Cheers I'll pop up and see what I think. Thanks for the advice. I'm just wanting to get in, do my workout and get out.
  14. Does anyone know what facilities are on offer at Max Fitness in Walkley? Think it's on Bole Hill Road. Drove past it this morning and saw a big sign, but never heard anything about it. Also thought S10 at Sheffield Uni might be an option.
  15. I seem to remember seeing these guys in a previous incarnation at the Boardwalk a few years ago. Thoroughly looking forward to the gig. Does anyone know what time they'll be on or what it costs to get in? Just interested in the gig, not any cheesy music. Unless they play Gold by Spandau Ballet, Billie Jean by Michael Jackson and Karma Chameleon by Culture Club back-to-back.
