  1. Re Boyfriday. The whole issue is that the car IS and WAS insured. I am trying to get the insurance company to send a letter to that effect, though every time I recieve a fax it is just the original policy doc with the original number plate showing. Of course every time I speak to the insurance company I speak to a new person who, on looking at the records, tells me that the relevant info has already been sent! The upshot is that we will end up i court will the CPS saying "why have we wasted everyones time here?"
  2. Thanks, please see you school teacher regarding syntax, commas, brackets and other grammar in general.
  3. I was stopped a few days ago, for apparently travelling "a little quickly" and it was 11pm on a friday night to be fair to the police involved, and it turned out that, as the car I was driving had very recently had a private plate put on it, it was showing as uninsured on the police computer. I was asked to produce my insurance docs within 7 days. I took the insurance docs (showing the original number plate) to the police station, together with both log books (for before and after the number plate change) showing the same chassis number and same engine number but this was held, by the pc behind the counter, to be no proof that it was the same car. I am now asked to produce, which is a nightmare via bangalore and other call centers, a letter from my insurance company to say that it is the same car! Surely this is a case of "computer says no" and the pc behind the desk ought to be able to use some of their own judgement in this matter!
