weve only just caught up with this sight me and my mum and it was quite touching what people thought thanks for your kind words over a tricky tough past me and mum read the end bit of this site and had tears in our eyes thanks again take care.....

personally theres rough people and places everywhere some are brought to your attention more than others.......give a place a name and it usally sticks for a long time

my grandad worked at the stables you mentioned on princess street i lived there when i was little i was only about 5 when i left we left when my nan died my grandad was george welbourn......!

does anybody know are remember the horse stables on princess street and the name of the family that lived there...1940s 1950s.........??i lived on princess street born in 1945 ........!!!!

i was in fch for five to six years ,about 1955 to 1960.. i remember i was in cottage 23 with miss gaunt then a miss rimmer they were quite nice as it goes ...it was a mixed cottage too.....got a nasty one after them though cant remember her name though ......i did jobs before school jobs after school ....i went to lydgate lane school ...then western school by bus.....i.remember mr a mrs brookes........three years ago they held an reunion up there which it is a private housing estate now not many people turned up though.......it does stay with you for life ......anonimous

i have a year old rotti she is a diomond..she is really good with the kids !!any breed can snap but you know if you can trust your own !!!my heart goes out to that little tot though how awful!!!!im sorry though i dont think you can blame the breed!!the owners ,maybe!ive had a collie cross and he used to growl at my daughter when hed had enough of her climbin all over him on the other hand my rotti cross would let her do anything and not bat an eyelid!!! sadly tosh and she arnt with us anymore!!my new addition like i say is a year old and brill with kids!!animals are like humans we all have different temprements !!!!!
