  1. Hi, does anyone where there is a snooker club that allows children to attend? My 8yr old son really likes playing but I am unsure where to take him. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thankyou
  2. The people in the old spar (now called the village shop) are lovely. The guy in costcutter is so rude!! And the prices are over the top. To the op - its only the senior school that is closing in July not the junior school, at least i hope not as my children go there! We could so with a decent green grocer on the shops.
  3. I am getting a staffy pup in 3 weeks. I have 3 children so the dog will be around them alot. I am not going to be teaching the dog to be a guard dog, i just want a nice family pet. I know alot of people class them in the same catagory as pit bulls, a few of of my friends have said that they would be wary about bringing their kids up with a staffy in the house. A friend of mine has a staffy and she is lovely, she is great with kids. I have been reading about them before i decided to get one. I know that any dog can be a risk with children but i dont intend to ever leave him alone with my kids. Have any of you had a staffy and kids?
  4. Hey its called The Easy Barber. I have used it for myslef and kids and its not bad, but they dont have sinks for washing hair so for £4 it is just a trim! Ithink its only £6 for a good cut. HTH
  5. I think this is a fab idea for those who spend christmas day on their own. I currently have plans but you wish you all the best with it. Brett1uk, maybe you should reconsider and go along!!
  6. Hi does anyone do hair extensions using real hair? I have quite fine hair and its a bit dry, would it be suitable to have extensions in?
  7. mine is waiting for the bus for half an hour, then 2 turning up at once and then being behind someone who cant find their money after waiting at the same stop as me for half an hour arrggghhh
  8. I take my kids trick or treating as i didnt do it as a child. We usually go all over. I dont see this as begging, my younger 2 are 4 and 6 and to them its just a bit of fun dressing up and if they get sweets then thats a bonus. I have taken them to fright night but it gets so busy that trying to keep an eye on them was a total nightmare, we spent most of the time being pushed around as there was so many people there. Ita just a bit of fun. Yes admittedly there are older kids that go trick or treating and wreak havock but i have never had any trouble with kids breaking anything if they get sweets instead of money or if i dont answer.
  9. Ooh i will take a look at that, thankyou. Petmeds is where i get her frontline/drontal. I didnt realise there was vet on there. I will have a look, Thanks again
  10. Thankyou very much, little monsters! I am def going to take her to a diff vet and see what they can do.
  11. TBH i am not sure, the vet didnt seem at all worried. He said she was quirky! She is that but surely the sickness and fur pulling is a problem? Well it is for me having to clean it up all the time. Maybe i should change vets and get a second opinion?
  12. I currently have 2 cats, one is 8 and the other is 5. The 5 year old is a little strange! i have had her from a kitten and my older cat is her nan. When she was a kitten she fell down the toilet, rushed her to the emegency vet and she recovered. Ever since that happened she has been a little loopy, she falls asleep stood up and then crashes to the floor. She falls asleep on the back of the sofa and falls off everytime! About 2 years ago she started pulling her fur out, i took her back to the vet and they gave her medicine which didnt do anything to stop it. She went back and they said it was stress related! Well she is still doing it, sometimes she pulls out so much that she has patches all over her body that has no fur. They dont have beds as they wont use them, they use the sofas so washing powder doesnt irritate her. She is also free of fleas and worms, they are done every 3 months. She is also sick quite a lot, mostly when she has eaten so she is constantly hungry. They have never walked on my work tops but lately she is doing it all the time, eating anything she finds! She is driving me crazy!! The vet cant anything wrong with her gut and can offer no advice on the fur pulling. Apart from all of this she is a very loving cat and will sit for hours with my children. Can anyone offer me any advice?
  13. I am def going to tell the tax office, very silly not to. I have had a nosy through the sites you mentioned and gave me a lot of info, thankyou for that. I think i may set up a store on there and see how my items sell. Hmm i think promotion is going to be a problem but i have a few ideas, whether they will pay off is another thing :S Thankyou very much for the advice. Faye x
  14. That is exactly what will be doing, i can customise the whole shoe, just the heel or any other design required. Wow they are expensive! I have been looking into this for a while now have am def going for it. Thankyou so much, Faye
  15. Thankyou so much for all of your replies. You all gave me things to think about. I am going to be doing it from home so wont have any overheads towards rent/rates etc. I will just see how it goes. I enjoy doing so if a made a little bit of money that would be a bonus. I will let you all know when i start and if it worked out hehe. Thanks again
