  1. JakKo Why should we tell others how to live their lives . If they want live in accordance with the Islamic code that is their affair. If Catholics want to live by their code that is up to them.. If lions.want to eat zebras that's nature. Let them get on with it . Just don't bother with them and that for me would include Saudi Arabia who also like chopping heads off. Primitives I call them.
  2. why dont we just let these primitives carry with what they do and stop dealing with them. If they want to chop peaples heads off just dont have any dealings with them. I have no sympathy with any of the religious rubbish apart from the message from Jesus to to his disciples to love everyone. We have Jehovahs Wittnesses invented in the early part of the twetieth century and later we have Scientoligy. Let them get on with it I say. So long as it doesnt affect us. If these Muslims think death is better than life why bother breeding.
  3. The discussion seems to have taken the direction of how can we encourage people to hop on a train and shop in Sheffield which would rob Stocksbridge of potential employment. The vast majority of people who live in the area do not shop in Stocksbridge. This will hopefully change with the new shopping centre.
  4. Just spotted this on Twitter. https://twitter.com/FoxValleySheff/status/553242274432581632/photo/1
  5. The development will continue as planned with or without TESCO according to this response from Dransfield. http://www.dransfield.co.uk/news.php?id=846
  6. Its time we declared a secular state and stopped subsidising all religion including schools.
  7. These areas have much in common and nothing in common with Sheffield or Barnsley. The Sheffield Council do not appear to be concerned too much about these areas so why not have a referendum for these areas to become jointly independent. The Sheffield Council does not truly represent these areas.
  8. Rome is just as bad. Some of their buildings are only half finished and they have been at it much longer.
  9. Lets get real . Any increase in retail activity is going to be via the internet and anything else is going to be somewhere that you can park and shop with ease. This council`s thinking is set in the past. They have chased IKEA away who will no doubt find a more sympathetic council on our borders and draw more activity away. Next arent going to be pushed into somewhere which will not give them a decent return on investment. Business people are not fools and if they dont want to go there it wont work. The city centre needs radical thinking but not a return to a major retail centre.
  10. If you think this lot are going to listen then good luck. We ordinary folk know that if you take money from the less well off they will spend less in the shops and therefore the shops will need fewer people to run the shops and so on ad in finitum. We have a government of ********s sorry ETON scholars who havnt a clue about real life but the thing that hurts most is that the working classes[some of whom think they are now middle class]attack each other instead of the real cause of all the problems.
  11. to be honest i know sheffield is shabby but its ever since meadwohall was built we need more money spending on the town centre and meadwohall should have been incorporated into the centre for example leeds trinity!
  12. Scargill, you are obviously not in favour of it and I really dont care whether it happens or not although it would be more convenient for me if it did happen. If it doesn`t it could make an ideal travellers site. It is tucked out of the way but close to "facilities" in Stocksbridge. On what research do you base your comments that the questions might be loaded?.
  13. Information collected by the developer at their open days and passed to the council.
