  1. Roger the door greeter will be leaving Asda within the next three weeks due to being made redundant. Overheard the staff saying he was leaving so i asked him if it was true and he told me yes. The Asda wont be the same without him, his quirky humour will be sorely missed.
  2. Agree 100% with you, Roger will be leaving Asda within the next three weeks due to being made redundant. Overheard the staff saying he was leaving so i asked him if it was true and he told me yes. The Asda wont be the same without him.
  3. The answer to your question is the same as the answer to : Is the Pope Jewish, No, the local councils do not want to know you so its a waste of time trying to claim from them.

Slalom races to dodge them on a pushbike for example So Edinburgh, Lincoln and York are not major cities ?, what planet do you live on ?. Time for you to think before you post any more replies. These cities are major tourist areas and their roads get just as much use as Sheffield if not more.
  5. Not Sheffield, but a few years ago there used to be a Chinese take away in Rotherham called WAN-KING, situated just outside the town centre.
  6. Personally even with the car sorned I would keep the insurance ongoing, at least your car would be covered for any damage should anyone attempt to break into your garage and attempt to steal the car.

  8. Sad to see you are registered in London, been buying Jamaica Ginger Beer @ £1.50 for 12 x 500ml since before Christmas from a place in Rotherham, what a bargain look what youre missing.
  9. Why is it that you are allways right ?.
  10. EXEL up to their dirty work again, best action is write a letter of complaint to the Chief Executive, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, mark the letter private and confidential. Tell him your problem and ask for a reply within a certain period.
  11. Do you mean the new one proposed for Drakehouse Retail Park, http://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/news/local/asda_lines_up_new_superstore_for_city_1_2926435
  12. Halogen lights a totally different fitting to energy saving bulbs, also energy bulbs and flourescent tubed lights are not suitable for use with a dimmer switch.
  13. Yes a dimmer switch can be fitted. I have a halogen floor lamp fitted with a sliding dimmer switch, dont know where you live but there is a shop on Fitzwilliam Road, Rotherham called All Types Electric who will most probably fit you up with a switch at a very reasonable price. Telephone number is 01709370254, open 7 days (Sunday 10am to 1pm)
  14. Whats it cost you a month in batteries for your brightly lit HALO or have you bought rechargables, you would like us all to believe you have never broken any road trafic violation of any kind, or any other law being it a very minor one or not. No body is that sqeaky clean.
  15. Yes i agree some may have insurance cover on their home insurance, but tell me how many of the idiot students in Sheffield that use cycles will have home insurance. The Isle of Jersey used to have a scheme that ended in the early seventies regarding cyclists, they were trying to reintroduce it last year but it was classed as a no go, dont know what finally happened. http://www.numberplates.com/articles/cycle_260410.asp
  16. Sorry to disagree but at the end of the day the cyclist is still breaking the law by going through the red light, the trouble is some cyclists think they are above the law untill something happens to them. As a road user its time it was compulsory for cyclists to have third party insurance so that a claim can be made against them if they cause an accident or injury to anyone. But obviously you will still disagree that a cyclist does no wrong.
  17. Yes much the same as when im stood at a pelican crossing with lights at red, and a stupid cyclist just ignores the red light and goes straight through the crossing, he wants a goog slap dont you agree ?.
  18. Also in a Readers Digest Book called Know the Law, it states repairs can be applied to an item upto 6 years old.
  19. Read this link:: http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2009/may/23/tesco-consumer-guarantee?INTCMP=SRCH
  20. But this thread is relating to pressed reflective number plates, so they are legal to use on later cars.
