  1. When I went in the 70's I'm sure it was always ' Speedy Gonzales '! If anyone remembers it started off in a high pitched ' la la la, -------la la la la la la la --------la la la la la la la --------la la la la la la laaaaa then a pause then ' won't you come home speedy Gonzalez!!! Everybody used to rush on to the ice and it was the figure 8 after the speed skate! And, if it was your birthday, your mates(!!) would get you at the end of the night and drag you round on your back by your blades and send you off spinning into the freezing water where the ice had melted at the top end of the rink!!! Oh great times!! Especially at the end of the night when all us girls would be drooling over the speed skating/ice hockey teams!!!
  2. Hi, does it have to be a mini specifically or just a small car frame? I've got a Simca 1000 that I have taken down to the bare shell and got most of the parts. It was going to be a restoration project for track racing. If any interest to you ring me, Steve, on 07850739559. P.s. Molly's mum is the wife!
  3. Hi there, I've got a 1970 Simca 1000 1.3 restoration project that you may be interested in. I have already done a lot of work on it to prepare it for restoration. I was going to make into a group F replica track car but it could be made into a road car. It's been stripped down to the shell and I have most of the parts but the Simca Spares Club Secretary only lives in chesterfield and he can give help and advice as well as any spares you might need. Ring me for further info:- Steve 07850739559. Many thanks. P.s. Molly's mum is the wife by the way! I'm not registered on here yet.
  4. I am of the same mind as everyone here. I have two staffies and they are the sweetest dogs and are my family. I don't know how I would cope if something like this happened to one of them. I hope they get the small pea brained scum of the earth who did this and, although the courts in this country will not give the deserved punishment, I just pray that they will get what they deserve in other ways. I too believe in Karma. I truly hope too that the 'do gooders' don't jump on the bandwagon and make excuses for whoever did it. THERE IS NO EXCUSE! I could say a lot more as I am so angry and upset but I have had to restrict what I really want to say as I might get struck off the forum.
  5. Hi all, I have a large quantity of bakery items such as cupcake/muffin cases, bakery/cookie bags and boxes, balloons, patterned paper straws, tags etc, etc that I don't need anymore that have to go. My hubby says it is taking over the house! I have tried the usual places to advertise but without success and I thought I'd ask if anyone out there know of anywhere that deals in buying job lots. I have tried googling for such companies but not come up with anything and so any suggestions would be welcome, Thanks very much
  6. Give Coral Design a call at Dinnington they have a unit and are excellent. They do all types of printing, my friend had vinyl labels and a huge banner done by them and couldn't have been happier with the service and the results. They do the car/van signage that you want as well.
  7. Hi there, instead of having the hassle of making and selling the cakes why not sell the items used in bakery instead? As baking is on the increase, it makes more sense to supply the end user with what they need such as baking cases, boxes, raffia, tags, bags, etc. The list is endless and, although there are other suppliers, concentrate on a certain category and find unusual items that not everyone has got. The other advantage is that there is less storage, no waste due to out of date and not sold, no inspections or health and safety to go through as you are not cooking, you can sell online or at markets, home parties etc. I'm not trying to make out that this will be easy either, same as the other replies have stated, but it is something you could try first whilst still doing your job and build it up gradually without having to sell it immediately as it's non perishable. It's something to consider! Hope it helps. Get in touch if you want any more info.
  8. Just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who answered my query. I have done a couple of xmas fairs and dealt in good old cash and no one asked me about paying by card. So, for now at least, I don't think I need to invest in a card payment system but I will keep it in mind for the future. Thanks again to you all.
  9. Hi, my friend is slovakian and speaks other languages as well. Any good for what you want?
  10. Has anyone got any advice for which card payment system is best for using on markets, craft fairs etc please? My bank wants to charge £30 a month, don't know if this is good or bad, but it's a lot when not sure of the amount of sales yet. Someone has suggested using an ipad or phone to let customers pay by paypal but not sure if many people would think this is safe enough. Any advice would be most appreciated, Thanks.
  11. Hi Helen, Could you please pm me with the details of the rent and rates. Many thanks.
  12. Hi there, I am a dialysis assistant with patients at home and it truly is a terrible condition that very little is known about regarding the actual conditions, limitations and affect it has on the life of the patient and their family. It is a condition that can happen to anyone and start at anytime in your life and it seems to be on the increase. I too am setting up a business to raise money for kidney research and think it's great what you are doing. I have a friend that is dedicated to re-homing boxer dogs and will see if she can help in any way. Also, are you only wanting stalls with animal related items to sell? How about a guest speaker with kidney failure there to answer questions people may have? I will have a think about what I can do to help and get back to you, keep up the good work!
  13. Hi there, there was a unit in sheffield that was excellent, selling everything to do with cardcraft, scrabooking, decoupage etc. They now only sell online cos they didn't have the time to spend with customers. It was mentioned that they would be open to supplying a shop or unit so maybe you could look into that. If you want any further info pm me. Hope this helps.
