  1. Absolute BS. The Argentine Leader who started the conflict was to blame, not Mrs T. And the freezing pensioners bit is a massive dramatisation of things too.
  2. This dreadful, and so are all the other posts wishing death on her.
  3. Surely this needs investigating, and we need to see how this is broken down. How can "expenses" reach this amount?
  4. I think that last bit might be a bit harsh. Faith in itself can play a positive role in someone's life, and most religions have a positive side. The sick part is when men profess to be men of God and religion in public and sodomise little boys in private. Those men's entire existence is either a lie or evil. Punishable by death in my book.
  5. And I don't get what you mean by this bit. "For all the others are innocent in UK law", reads to me like you mean the people who might well be guilty as sin but haven't been convicted? I am sure you don't mean this, but on the other hand I have no idea what you really did mean?
  6. If you meant my post I said they should clean up or close down. From this in 2006: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4831184.stm Then 2009 when they realised again nasty things were afoot: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/8305318.stm To today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-15256764 I hope they sort themselves out, and hope the decent folk in the Muslim community will monitor and correct the problems themselves. But if things are the same in a few years they have no place here. Close them. The kids all get free schools and should be integrating into British society anyway.
  7. I got that here to watch when I can! Is it that bad?
  8. The BBC has put out reports warning of this for years. I did quick search now and in seconds found ones from 2006 and 2009. They need to be cleaned up or closed down immediately. How could they still be riddled with this disgrace when people should have been keeping an eye on them for years.
  9. Sorry to hear about this. Sometimes people do genuinely sell vouchers on eBay, myself included. It's always a bit risky on any high value transaction, and the problems aren't limited just to vouchers. I admit there are some extra issues with vouchers of course, but think it would be a shame to close the market for genuine sellers. Glad you got your £100 back, hope the other money finds it's way back some way. Does anyone know how seriously the police would take such a situation? After all, theft is theft!
  10. Hahahaha I thought this was a very bizarre thread to start by yourself. Now I am convinced of it.
  11. It's a stunning film. Watched it on Blu Ray last week. Looks and sounds amazing and the story is also truly captivating. It might not be totally accurate historically but how do we know what is so long after the event? Definitely in my list of classics.
  12. Looking back at what you have said regarding my comments, I agree I actually now have no idea what your stance on it is, my apologies regarding this. In relation to the H&S issue, what's the opinion here? That the church are lying? Any ideas as to why?
  13. So as the Bishop may have to close the cathedral as independent health and safety advice says it is a fire risk, you agree with me they should move the heck on. Glad we agree, but why did we waste time discussing it?
  14. I've just seen on Google Maps actually, my geography knowledge of London is limited, I see the cathedral backs onto the stock exchange. My bad. Sorry.
  15. Why are they outside the cathedral again and not Canary Wharf?
  16. Not sure. But I doubt many of the people clogging up the area of London in question know exactly which improvements they would go for either. Which is part of my problem with them being so rude.
  17. From bbcnews.com: "The Reverend Rob Marshall said it had been a "difficult week" for St Paul's, but "we continue to have quite good relations with those outside in the tents". "We're still in dialogue with the protesters and asking them to move peacefully," he said." It's this that bugs me. The fact they are being asked nicely to move somewhere else, and they are just not doing. Why do they need to be there? To the guys who support the protesters. If I want to protest about the state of Sheffield's roads, and pitch a tent on the road behind your car so you can't get in and out, you cool with that??
  18. Let's not over-analyse the words being used here. You obviously would be on the side of the protesters IF their actions cause St. Pauls Cathedral to close on the day of Remembrance. Even though there is no need for them to be in that location and they are needlessly disrupting other peoples plans. They probably won't still be there at that time, and I hope there is a successful service at the cathedral that day, but it's hardly a "huge untruth" what I said.
  19. Aye it'll be fine again when she's waved a scythe across a lot of us. I think this convo would be better on another thread tho
  20. You know the world actually isn't in great shape. I wouldn't dismiss it so quickly.
  21. I see your point, but as I said above there are other ways and places to get together and show your feelings. It's the fact that St. Pauls has had to close it's doors for the first time in nearly 70 years and they don't think for a second "Shall we move somewhere else?". Either they simply don't care or they think that they and their cause are above everything else.
  22. If it doesn't sound like common sense to you, then let's hear why. Tell us what good you see the protests doing, that will make inconvenience to the public worthwhile. Aside from showing the world that we use our "right to protest".
  23. As I said before, I didn't know if it was true. You said it was fine if they were going to disrupt the service, and now you're saying that suggesting they are is a dirty trick! Confused now man. I shouldn't have to. It's common sense surely!
  24. I can't see how it's OK to lie in the street, annoying everyone who needs to cross your path, on a sustained basis when there isn't really any gain from doing so. The protesters don't gain anything apart from a nice camping holiday with no work for a while, and everyone else suffers!! Why don't they sort out one day marches, frequently if necessary but not on days that they really are going to cause problems. Why don't they sort out rallies in one of the large parks in London. Why don't they pool their intelligence together and come up with some real plans to pass to the government?
  25. Maybe so, and they should realise that they should allow any remembrance celebrations to go ahead unimpeded by themselves!
