  1. A question to all you marvellous heating engineers- I have a sime murelle HE 35 BF which was installed October 2011 in a new build and it's already on the blink. Shows error code AL 09 which according to the manual (I downloaded) it means inadequate water circulation. When it's working all the radiators are hot but then i can try and draw hot water and the error code comes on and the water runs cold. Does this mean it could be a blocked filter within the boiler or something more simple that I can do. Water pressure is 1.7 bar when boilers working. Any advice would be most appreciated.
  2. That above post shoulD read RENOVATE ( with an 8 ). The 8 turned into a smiley face for some unknown reason!!!!
  3. I can definitely recommend Darren Moon (Renov8). He's been doing all my plastering and tiling needs for years. I've always recommended him to friends and family and they've all been pleased and passed on their recommendations. Therefore he's busy so book him in. He's very reliable too. 07944990317 01142375995
  4. I left in '84 having stayed on at 6th form-waste of time really as didn't go on to university. I married another ex-pupil from 2 years above called Paul ( nickname Shrimp). I don't remember him at all from school as I don't think he went much ( his last report said "presumed left")!!! The teachers I remember the best are Mr Smiles(History), Mr Agar(Geography),Mr Murphy,Mr Marsh, Mrs Neal, Mr Bowen, Mrs Barr (hated her as she was such a bitch - made you stand up on the table and speak French),Mrs Lewis (French) Mrs Carlson was my first form teacher, I was in S. Think it was for SCARY. I remember the other forms were ;L,G,H,E,M,O and X-think I've got that right. Remember John Wade's different coloured eyes but I don't remember any Latin. My daughter is now a pupil there and some of the teachers are still there Smiles, Applehoff,Mrs Bowen,Mr Lancaster, Mr Agar retired last year and Mr Bowen this year ( I think). She loves most of her teachers and is doing so much better than me or my ex- husband ever did. Enjoyed 6th form best of all- managed to gain a bit of confidence by then!
  5. We've just had my hubby's 50th at The Office pub on Upperthorpe Rd S6 3EA. Good function room, your own well stocked bar and the two lads who were serving were brilliant. The function room is also a live music venue and is done out as such so not boring. The landlady Christine is lovely and puts on a good (not measly) buffet from £3 a head. They can also arrange a D.J or you can get your own. Plenty of room and tables to sit down. Average size dance floor, dico lights etc. I think the room is insured for upto 130 people. We had about 50. To hire the room costs £70- really good if you consider you've got your own 2 barmen from 8pm to 12am and the buffet is really good value. The in-house Dj was happy to carry on as long as we wanted and I think??? we left at half one. Everyone says they enjoyed themselves and I would definately book again.
  6. It's a no go for the Psalter as they are refurbbing. Now looking at the Harlequin on Nursery St. Anybody got any views on this pub?
  7. hHas anyone used the Psalter on Psalter lane for a function? It sounds good as it's the right size for 50 or so people and the buffet reasonably priced but I don't know of anyone using it for their celebration. Any thoughts people?
