  1. My dad Joe paggiosi worked head roller gate 2 made a documentary of him in the 70s at work my god did they sweet had to have 4 or 5 pints to replenish fluid lost

Its a year since my brother Joe passed away aka Rossi roony was Such a popular guy on the forum I can't believe a year on his friends on here still Message me to see how the family are and laugh about his stupid wind ups But sensable discussions thanks to you all its nice to know he is Findley Remembered god bless bro.   3. a great big thankyou from all the family and myself for all your kind words. especially to all you who attended our joes funeral of which there were many. he loved you all i do know that he use to tell me ,he even loved your visits, this forum brought so much joy to his life and was his link to the outside world, once again thank you and god bless you all chrispag his proud brother x

  13. can anybody remember dickie davis at shirecliffe college use to teach calculations. how many rolls to paper a room,hehad a knotch in his pen knife blade told us he cut through a electri cable and how lucky he was to be alive. we use to take it in turns every lesson to ask about his knife.never got any work done thats why im proberbly always a roll short

  15. i remember when it was slack they sent me in townhall to work with fred and harold/ harry boons gang were working there one of the young painters always went missing at dinnertime ,eventualy found out what he was upto caught him knelt up in toilets looking at women sun bathing in peace gardens ,knocking one off.harry said what do you think u r doing ? he said calm as anything it helps to make it grow
  16. made me paint canteen and toilets at worthing rd and paint gas tanks green bitcho . remember on estates swinging along gutters seeing how many eaves i could reach so i had less stretches to do .now go up ladder and paint 1 either side
  17. smudger i worked on ashliegh school with keanys gang in79 were u with him then?do u remember howard lived on manor he used to partner mick bainbridge and drove a 3 wheeler,gave us lift home that thursday when it snow'd all day . six people in a reliant robin .world record lol
  18. remember fist day started down at worthing rd mosley took me up to barry wainwright on the manor ,spent 4 f-----g weeks painting clothes poles with green bitcho and 2 weeks trying to get it out of my balls after they got me down and painted them,covoured well though no misses lol, you must have waited a long time for matey to come out of the cabin spent most of the day with his magazine chest .we always use to raid it when he was off.
  19. work for myself now for past 8 yrs this time of year is a nitemare especially now . just look on this forum wen somebody wants any decorating done. theres about 1oo replies from decorators, even19 year old girls with so called n v q qualifications which i know from experience is worth nowt.worked on outside with 1 of these blokes with an n v q he dint know what a kettl e hook was,took him 1 week to paint 1 house on a 2 block.took me 2 days to sort all his snaggs, thats enough of moaning.does tha know any funny stories ?remember playing cards in cabin at dinner on ronie mates gang been burning off and pink primer ,fire engines came storming up net curtains had caught fire think it was pete divine not sure
  20. i bought geoge mosleys house on the cross he died on the garden,i left in 198o thats when mosley said i wouldnt stick to paintig.best job i had was in polytechnic all winter with harry boones gang.same opinion as u about ashton,did u work with the divine brothers?,pete and tony.did u go to shirecliffe college.lovely toast.pint in timbertop at dinner time;then whaite for black taxi and scratchard to bring wagers can u remember black clive the sprayer

  22. anybody remember harrry boone and little joe ?what a pair have some good memories working with them. nearly burnt townhall down when a dust sheet fell on a spotlight and caught fire.also remember working with harrold and fred 2 french polishers in town hall .all good men ,good old days
  23. domonico paggiossi lived in scotland st died 1919 burried in rivelin cemetery,if thats any help thanks
  24. can any body tell me where to look for records of my great grandad comeing to this country around about 189o trying to find out where he came from thanks
