Thanks mate! Yea, this thread has turned into a bit of a reminisce but its definitely added to my feel for Fulwood. Good to get a grasp of the place. Thanks to everyone that's posted so far, I've had some really good results from the ideas that have been mentioned.

Spoke to some people in the Bulls Head Inn on Fulwood Road and was told that there had been a spate of thefts in Sheffield whereby people's car number plates were stolen. The idea behind it is that the criminals tape the stolen number plate over their own and then go around petrol stations filling up with a couple of cans of petrol and a full tank then drive off. Was wondering if anyone had been a victim of this kind of crime or if they had heard that it was a problem at all.

I think I could use it, as the specification is actually Fulwood and closeby areas. So Lodgemoor and Ranmoor. I think the Endcliffe village student site is close enough to include. Thanks!

Yeah, I had written very briefly about the shiny sheff with regards to the bulls head inn being sold. Definitely sounds like there could be more mileage in the story though if its had loads of landlords and isn't that popular. Didn't know this info. Thanks!

Yeah, I've been up there quite a lot. Asking in pubs, went to GT News but the owner declined to comment. Cheers for the help though. Good luck with your newspaper.

I've always found the bus services around sheffield to be really good. Feel sorry for you though.

looks like a decent bar and loads of students would dfinitely use it with more promotion.

Definitely allow dogs in pubs. They need to be lively and places where you can just drop into if out walking. Shouldn't have to worry if you've got your dog with you.
