  1. If its between stones and beatles then I would have to say I prefer the Beatles. I prefer The Doors over the both of them though
  2. London road just gets worse and worse, I saw a small amount of dog crap on that road  Did anybody else see it around 6.30pm on 07/03/2011?
  3. I met Seth from Emmerdale at some cricket charity thing when I was a kid. Why even mention the queen when you have met The Chuckle Brothers! Richy wins! /Thread
  4. I have been trying to get as many photos as I can of myself with various celebrities so I can try to convince my friends that I have been to madame tussauds.
  5. That's a shame, I've just bought some football boots for this friendly. I was going to post my availability for it now. Has another friendly been organised? Next one likely to be at Ecclesfield park again?
  6. Has to be Zombies. It's easy to defeat them though, you just have to surround your house with treadmills. The onion actually have an interesting debate about the apocalypse.
  7. I doubt you will find that anywhere around town. City are typically more of a local team for Mancunians. Where as Salford and the rest of the country is infested with Manchester united fans. Since this is a student city with folk from all over, expect the usual locations to be crawling with united fans. I'm thinking this will be another 0-0 bore, city will be set up not to loose as Mancini has been going on about defence more than usual, even for an Italian. Since Arsenal dropped 2 points against newcastle, I think Ferguson would settle for a point.
  8. No idea what that has got to do with ghosts. That passage is about Easter and according to our current Easter custom, Easter was the time when Jesus came back from the dead disguised as a giant pink rabbit hiding little coloured chocolate eggs.
  9. Looks like you have just solved jodie's ghost problem. If she stops playing scary background music at night then she should be fine.
  10. Why do ghost stories usually feature ghosts from the middle ages to the second world war. Are there no 90s ghosts dancing around singing wonder wall and attending ghost raves? Any cavemen ghosts? What about animals, are there any ghost rabbits? I bet plenty of spiders have been killed in horrific drowning incidents in baths all across the country, surely somebody must have seen at least one spider ghost.
  11. Especially since this is your first car, I would be thinking about insurance when making your choice. If you are getting a cheap run around then insurance will probably cost more than your car anyway. Whilst your browsing around on auto trader, grab the number plate of a car you like off an adverts pictures and stick that in gocompare or compare the market just to get an idea of how much that will cost you to insure it. I have to agree with icklesweet regarding the PAS. First car I test drove after passing my test was a 2.0 Golf Diesel from 1996. Not only did the power take me by surprise after passing in a 2005 1.4 corsa, but I found manoeuvres much more difficult. Oh, and it sounded like a tractor! I ended up with a 1.6 Golf MK4. If you want a Golf with PAS then this is the one to go for. You can get these from around £1000 with a high milage but the typical price is around £1500. Which has not changed much from when I got mine a few years ago, so they hold their price well. Tax is expensive though, was around £215 last year. Alternatively there are plenty of late 90s/early 00s Corsa's for around £600. Not got a great write up on parkers but they have PAS and are smaller than golfs so they are even easier to park.
  12. I second that. Can pick one up for £125 on GAK.
