  2. In the last 2 weeks, just off Rivelin, I know of an audi and front end of a corsa nicked & a car back window smashed
  3. St Vincents (near B&Q on Queens Rd) accepts these items and gives them free of charge to the vulnerable and people coming out of homelessness in Sheffield. http://www.svpfurniturestoresheffield.org.uk/support/donate/
  4. Hi Lou, I've still got the nest at the moment, although WarPig has shown interest for his son.
  5. Thank you everyone for your replies....Im still looking for for someone who might want the nest. Please see below link for a few photos. Apologies for the poor quality pics, they were taken on a phone camera and really dont do the nest justice. https://www.flickr.com/photos/39237667@N04/
  6. We have removed a beautiful wasps nest from our loft. The nest was 12-18 inches in diameter but some bits crumbled as it was removed. It is still in fairly large chunks up to about 8inch diameter. Can fully see the lovely swirl pattern on the outside & the honeycomb on the inside/underside. WASPS ARE LONG GONE!!! It seems a shame to bin something so beautiful & fascinating. Any teachers/schools/anyone else interested or know of anywhere that might be intetested?
  7. Hi, My partner has a number of landrover parts, including various sections of exhausts for different models. He used to sell landrover parts, but had to close the business last year. We still have many parts, including exhausts, so I will ask him. Can you give me more idea of the model, year, and fuel type, as I am sure this can have an effect on the exhaust, (I am not certain, but my partner knows!). I will ask him to take a look at your thread and check what parts he has tomomorrow. (PS, all parts are band new). Thanks
  8. CityWide Heating came to look at my boiler last week, they gave honest and fair advice whch was much appreciated, (they even took their shoes off when they came in). I will be passing on their name, and asking them to service my boiler in the near future. Search CityWide Heating on Sheffield Forum for their contact details (I used them after finding thier details on the forum).
  9. I have just found 4 piles of dog crap on my back garden. I am fuming. Its so disgusting, why are people so irresponsible. If I find out who is responsbile for owning a dog and letting it crap on other peoples property (and in the street without clearing it up). These people shouldnt be allowed to have dogs. I hate to think what their homes are like if they think dog fouling is acceptable beahiour.
  10. I live on Taplin Road, and noticed a few weeks ago how bad the dog fouling had become. I reported it to the council via email, and had a reply from Streetforce, who also forwarded details to Environmental Services and the Animal Control Team.....Maybe they all need a reminder!
  11. If you go to the internal box office once the concert has started -usually during the warm up act, and explain that you can see seats further forward which arent being moved, staff will often arrange to change your ticket there and then...very hi-tech biro scribble on the ticket, but it does the job! I have done this a few times when my tickets have been further back, and there are vacant seats which are closer! The internal box office is on the main walkway (where the bars are) at the opposite end to the stage. It isnt advertised, (and may even be called something else), but its tucked away in a corner with a hatch, and a member of staff sat there! Hope this helps!!
  12. Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but it might be of interest... There is nightclub event held at the Hub every few months called 'Under the Stars'. The night is for people with learning disabilities and their carers. As far as I know, the next planned night will be April 2009 (ish) If you google 'Under the Stars', it should find it...any probs, pm me!
