  1. Now found!!!!!! He was sat in the layby on the main road where my dad parks to walk the dogs, waiting to be picked up!! Couldnt believe my eyes when i drove past and saw him! Clever boy but still in trouble although he does seem bothered about the upset he has caused!! So glad hes home though.
  2. My dog went missing this morning on his walk. Lost in the Bitholmes woods inbetween Wharncliff Side and Deepcar. Hes a Black and Brindle terrier, Small, 5 years old called Rocky. He is black with brindle legs and head, White chest and white paws. He was wearing a purple nylon harness with a name tag on with his name, address and contact number on. Also had a tag on to say he is chipped. Please anyone in the area keep an eye out for him. Dog warden and council kennels already informed. Thankyou Lyndsey 07814842192
  3. Unfortunatly it didnt work out for us either. Me and my OH got a pup and my OHs mum and dad got one from the same litter. We were living with them at the time while buying our own house. We did everything right by walking them and training them on their own. We brought our pup, Rocky, up and my OH mum and dad brought their pup, Dooley, up. They were together in the day while we were at work looked after by my OHs mum. They were both great, apart from the chewing but thats what pups normally do!! As they got older though they started to fight. Just over toys and stuff at first. Then one day Dooley just went for Rocky. Not in a playing way but in an aggressive way. They ended up with some serious bites and cuts. Now they cant even be in the same room as each other. As soon as Dooley sees Rocky he starts barking and growling, trying to attack him. We can never take the dogs round when we visit my OHs family. They are both great with other dogs and everything else just not with each other. I know you wanted good stories but it definatly didnt work out with us. Luckily we moved out so they didnt get seriously injured but god know what would have ended up happening if they had been living together all the time. Probably some big vets bills.
  4. I had my Jet spayed a couple of months back and also had her back dew claws removed. I ended up having to have 3 aftercare appointments and wasnt charged for any. On my paperwork it said i should have 1 but had to go back for dressings changed twice and then stiches out. It was all included and 2 of the appointments were with the vet and 1 with the nurse. Also went back because i was concerned about blue lumps on her spaying scar. Turns out it was just the internal stiches but i wasnt charged for that appointment either.
  5. Course not!! Shes so lovely, she will make someone a brilliant dog. Really happy today when i heard she was going tomorrow but really hope she doesnt go before i get there to give her a last cuddle!!!
  6. I love her 2!!!! I wondered where she was today cos she was in her duvet!!!! Shes just so sweet and lovely. And is always wanting to climb on you and give you a cuddle!! She will make someone a fantastic dog.
  7. So glad it was her and shes gone home. Shes a lovely dog.
  8. Well im sure people think about it been in Barnsley and getting there in an emergency before they start using them. If not then thats not the vets fault!! I know some other vets have there own out of hours but alot dont as its been discussed before. As ive said i have never had a problem with them in the 4+ years ive used them and am glad they were there for Jet when she was very very ill. I will always recommend them to people and know alot of people that use them with no problems at all.
  9. But with me using the Deepcar one because i live up here its not trailing to Barnsley. Its nearer to me than going to Vetsnow at the other side of Sheffield to be charged a fortune!! Would rather use my own vets no matter how far it was anyway.
  10. Andy the vet there is fantastic. I know alot of people who use them. And they dont make you have pointless things done if they dont need doing like some vets!!! He had concerns about Rocky been castrated so we didnt have him done but most vets would have just said do it. And he doesnt talk to you like your stupid like some vets do!!!!
  11. My 2 dogs and cat are all fully vaccinated. Rockys just been for his boosters and they do a basic just booster for £16.95. They also do a full health check and booster for £29.95 which is what we had. Hes not been to the vets since his last booster so its good to know hes been fully checked out. Jet went for her adolecent health check at the same time which was included in with her first vaccinations which were a good price too but cant remember exactly. This is at Abbey vets in Deepcar.
  12. We have always classsed both sides of the road as Greno woods but no on the other side of the road your talking about you dont need a permit to ride in there as far as i know, just the side with the car park on.
  13. I havent rode in there for years, got to be 5+ years, and then it was the forestry commission. It was all of greno woods and right up to wharncliffe woods, including the TPT from what i remember. The vans use to drive through checking permits. Cant remember how much they were.
