  1. I love the snooker, i sit every year on bank holiday monday watching the final until it ends, whatever time that may be. I meant to get tickets this year but did not get around to it. I think it is a shame to be in the same city as this world class event and miss out on the action! I hope Ronnie wins it again, but Ali Carter has a good chance, as do Ebdon and Shelby. But then again a rank outsider could win it like Murphy the other year!
  2. I have to say i am torn on this topic, as a horse lover myself i do think that the grand national can be dangerous and it is sad that horses sometimes die. However i am also a bookie and love the atmosphere on grand national day, possibly the only day of the year where many people like to have a small flutter on the gee gee's. We should not ban NH racing for definate. Yes the fences are hard and high on the aintree course, but have you seen some of the heights horses have to jump in show jumping, cross country and the puissance? Any of these horses can fall, break a leg and be put down just like any racehorse can.
  3. I wont be going to see the second film, the first film was awful and missed out a very important bit at the end! I loved all three books and have read them several times. As for the religous implications and such like, i think we need to see the books for what they really are (as well as dan browns) and that is great works of fiction.
  4. What a sad end indeed. I found out earlier that i grew up opposite where his mother lives and knew her when i was a child. She is a lovely women and i feel for her and all the family. It's a shock to the whole estate. R.I.P
  5. I can't believe this is still going on this morning. My thoughts go out to all the residents effected by this, and indeed to the whole estate who are clearly in as much shock as me about it.
  6. I can imagine you are all sick of it. It must be awful. Still it can't be that bad as they are still letting cars up and down blackstock.
  7. I can't see much from where i live. I can see all the cars and stuff parked outside the pub but trees are blocking the rest. I hope its all over soon. You just don't feel safe on this estate anymore.
  8. I can't believe this is happening. I drove past it on my way home today, i only live on the other side of Blackstock road. I grew up on this estate and it used to be so nice. Now we have things like this happening. Never seen anything like it around here.
