  1. Anything but scruffy, its been completely renovated since it was Kebabish, booths and air con installed etc, its more like a mcdonalds style restaurant than a kebab shop, but agree don't think its ideal for a 40th anniversary
  2. Thats true, I think the age of 'scruffy' little kebab shops at the end of a saturday nights are a thing of the past, nicer places to go now
  3. Anyone been to this place yet? I tried it yesterday during tramlines and it was fantastic food, the chicken is really tasty, ingredients are all fresh and the portions for what you pay are really good value for money, half what you pay at Nandos, and in my opinion much better food! I had the 1/4 jerk chicken, my mate had their own Spicychik mariated chicken in a pitta with salad and we'd recommend both. Definitely going back next time i'm on West Street. I didn't hear about it opening though, saw it by chance walking past so i'll be recommending it to everyone I know now. Anyone else been in there?
  4. Yeah I think i'll use them as don't fancy paying £8 each night.
  5. Yeah thats what it seems, just wondered if anyone knows for certain or parks nearby in the evenings.
  6. Does anyone park in the evenings near West Street? I'll be needing to park most weeknights from about 5pm onwards and most stop charging from around 8pm around town I can see. There's Q Park, on Portobello Street which looks ideal but is it a flat rate 24 hours or does it stop charging between the evening hours? Tried contacting them but had no luck. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the responses, picture Sheffield didn't have the type of photo I wanted as I needed the whole road, and thanks for the offer Paul, I may take you up on this if I get stuck however my friend does photography so I may look at borrowing his camera since I know exactly how I need the picture to look. Cheers
  8. I am looking for any local photographers who have some street photos of West Street, at night or day, but which include Tiger Works either at the foreground or background of the photograph. The must be high res as it is for a large photo canvas to be placed in a new restaurant opening on West Street next door to Tiger Works. I've searched google and looked through countless photos but cannot find any that cover this area. Please contact me with copyrighted samples and a price to use the photo as it is to be altered slightly to incorporate the restaurants colours. Thanks
  9. Agencies are not great to work for, she'd be on minimum wage with unpaid bank holidays etc and unless shes desperate they're more hassle than they're worth. I did Agency work years ago for a woodworking factory, another guy started a week later who applied directly with the firm rather than through an agency, we both did the same job, but he was on £1.50 more an hour, had a secure role (as temps all always first out of the door if they need to cut numbers) and had bank holidays paid as he was working for them instead of an agency. I queried it with my boss and he said if i'd applied direct I'd be on the same money as the other guy. Has she tried just checking the job sites or going onto the factory websites directly to check for vacancies? Check the industrial estates nearest to her location and try them directly and if still no luck then try agencies.
  10. L00b: Many thanks, i'm new to setting up a company so just wanted to stay clear of any scam and rip off 3rd party sites and get the company officially registered. Will try the links and stick to the official companies. dosxuk: Good point, there are other addresses available such as companyname.org or companyname.net so I could use these, just wasn't sure if they look as professional as the .co.uk sites.
  11. Hi, am looking at setting up a new company and registering a company name. I have checked the website address and although it has been claimed via 123reg there is no 3rd party company using this name as far as I can see. I have also checked for trademarks via Companies House, OHIM and the IPO UK Trademark sites and all have come back clear. For the website address I can add a hyphen in between the company name to get the .co.uk address so this is not an issue. Is there anything else I need to check or am I okay to make the name a trademark for myself? And who do I register with, as there are several 3rd party sites such as http://www.start.biz/business_names/ do I need to use these or is there a direct link? Thanks, Brendan.
  12. Thanks for the responses, I'll take a look at these. And I have used Pinders several times in the past but wasn't happy with the upload fee they charge, think it was £10 for A4 and £15 for A3 last time I checked with print costs on top, and if I wanted the exact same pic re-printing a few weeks later I have to pay the upload fees again so works out a little steep. They are good quality prints though, can't doubt that, just wanted to find something a bit cheaper as I'm looking at selling the caricatures for £15 each (A4) ---------- Post added 22-04-2013 at 13:06 ---------- Just checked out their site and done a rough estimate, is that all they charge? 24p per A4 plus postage costs? If that's right they undercut everyone else massively, I'll send them a couple of samples later. Thanks again everyone.
  13. Hi I am looking for some prices for good quality A4/A3 prints within the next fortnight, but for one off or orders of 5 or so, potentially could be larger orders and several bundles possibly required in future depending on outcome but for now I just need quotes for 1-5 A4 prints on gloss style paper. They are digital caricatures done on Photoshop, I can send in pdf/jpg formats. Please only respond if the printers are able to print good quality images. Thanks Brendan
  14. Thanks, only just picked these messages up, already signed upto the Bupa one now but may look at doing this regular so will keep the other local ones in mind cheers. And I have got the paper sponsorship forms from Thornberry now as they don't have an online setup, will do it the old fashioned way but at least its for a good cause. Thanks everyone for your help.
