  1. Here is a link with info - http://www.foxvalleysheffield.co.uk/ I like it (but I do live in the town so maybe biased). Nice variety of shops and a couple of decent restaurants. Beware of people driving though, the development seems to attract crap drivers, esp. when it comes to indicating.
  2. Been to a few at Ponds Forge and they have been excellent.
  3. Its the fact that the light sequence would be able to be changed.
  4. Maybe making the bit of Middlewood road where the old Harios and Proud potato are a tram gate in rush hour, this would force all traffic down Catchbar lane, you'd be able to re-jig the timings and possibly make it quicker?
  5. Just slightly further North you have Middlewood, and then Oughtibridge, both have very nice, safe areas.
  6. This definitely needs looking at, a bridge/bypass is much needed here. A link to Foxhill/Grenoside wouldn't work as there is already a link here via Oughtibridge. The only issue would be integrating the traffic from Claywheels lane onto the A61.
  7. I've captured a few gyms, then lost, then captured and so on, just wish they would sort out the server issues. The lag/crashing is becoming a bind!!
  8. I have a gym and and 3 Poke stops just outside of my work, shame it's just out of range. I've had the app for a few days and it updated itself with the newer version today.
  9. I use this stuff - http://www.screwfix.com/p/mdpe-pipe-blue-25mm-x-50m/19606 in hoops, with canes horizontal in between the hoops to make the structure rigid. I then use scaffold debris netting to make tunnels to cover my brassicas on the allotment. Seems to work well, just remember to take the netting down in the winter as it gets very heavy with snow.
  10. The petition was actually raised by a leave campaigner before the ref, who was preempting the remain vote winning, so the leave side could try and call a 2nd ref!!
  11. We sold with haybrooks a couple of years ago, and it was their 'list' that got a sale, the lady who bought went to haybrooks and looked through a list suitable houses, viewed ours and bought. The other good thing is for buyers, you get the heads up before properties hit the online sites so don't miss good deals.
  12. Wasn't the original tag line something like 'party girls drink lambrini'?
  13. The silver fox has been renovated and been open about 2 months, they have a good selection of premium lagers (Birra Moretti being one), not so much real ale though, but they now serve pretty decent food at very good prices. I've been a few times now and it's not bad, definitely worth a visit if you're passing. ---------- Post added 18-06-2016 at 09:20 ---------- When I looked at the menu the other week I'm pretty sure it was a draught for £7.2, looking now I can only see the big peronu for £6.90.
  14. Ponti's looks ok, £7.20 a pint is a bit pricey though. However the NYC grill/bar looks amazing, looking forward to trying this one.
  15. Are they opening more shops at Stairfoot? I've been going there for years, but TBH I only ever visit the Tesco, not much else of note there, that's not nearer in Hillsborough.
  16. There is a thread going about the development - http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=484264&page=9 As i'm from the area the development is welcomed, a nice selection of shops and a nice layout, i'll pop down and have a proper look later after work but from reading local FB posts it's proving a hit. I just wish the Wadsley Bridge Sainsburys was here instead, as I think it would have done much more trade.
  17. I also think the mix is good, i'm pretty sure the people who visit Aldi will also visit Seasalt etc. The NYC bar/Grill looks interesting.
  18. Yes, there is a huge fox in the middle of the roundabout entering the development, he's holding an umbrella pointing too the retail park. There are also many other art works around the area including a huge mural by Pete Mckee - http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/video-sheffield-artist-pete-mckee-completes-biggest-ever-mural-1-7942095 And some more pictures here - http://www.foxvalleysheffield.co.uk/gallery It was destined to have a Tesco but they pulled out, and there are still more shops to come, Sports direct have Fox Valley listed as a new store so they may also be opening. In my opinion the Wadsley Sainsburys would have done better at Fox Valley, than it's current location.
  19. And now it's open, what are your thoughts? I've seen it being built and drive past it most days, I think it fits in great and will be a valued development in the valley. I'll be popping down later after work, but passing impressions are good.
  20. It seems a bit of a glitch with Word 2013, a few things that may bring it back; Zoom to 500% and back again Switch to read mode then back to print layout Look in the view menu for an 'edit' option Regards
  21. The Three connection has been rubbish in Stocksbridge for a very long time, full signal but little or no internet speed, all due to over contended towers. Infact EE are just as bad if you don't get a 4G signal. I have moved to EE, provided you have 4G signal they seem good.
  22. Have you tried a free upgrade to Win10? I find comparability greatly improved.
  23. Any other comments now it's settled in? Is it worth a re visit? It was a big improvement which wasn't hard. The food was cooked well, not outstanding (my ace comment maybe a bit OTT), but the service was very good and in good time. I tried to mirror my original meal as much as possible, the ribs were great as was the brisket and pulled pork. The burnt ends while massively improved, I felt were still a little off Smokes standard, as was the £9 price tag! If parking was better I would probably visit again, but due to the location (for me anyway) Smoke still comes out tops. Worth a visit though, and I suggest going at dinner time as this is when we re-visited and service was much improved. The re-visit was paid for by Reds, but I have not let that influence my opinion.
