  1. I am looking to adopt a young cat or kitten (preferably a male). The Sheffield cat shelter currently hasn't any going that I felt would be right (sometimes you just click with a pet and you know it's for you). Are there any other suggestions, or do you know someone who is having problems homing their mogs? I've had several cats in the past and live in a cat-friendly house with a garden and near a park. Many thanks for any advice
  2. That's really informative and a brilliant way to start pushing for a more effective health system. Thanks for your research and information, Focused Hypnosis
  3. Most definitely Two Steps and sister chippy Green Steps - satifyingly large portions and ecologically sound - on and near Sharrowvale Road - hmmmmm, chips...
  4. I like running up Ecclesall Road South and out to the woods, then can come straight back down, or down Abbeydale Road to get home. It's a longer one, but Scottf, maybe if some others fancy it too - it's beautiful out there at that time and downhill on the way home! Or out through the parks to Forge Dam too... would be good to have company and share routes
  5. yeah, back to the point.. joggin group round hunter's bar would be good - Hope something comes up...
  6. a little bit further along is the rude shipyard cafe too - it's got loads of mis-matched furniture and millions of books and it's pretty quirky, relaxed and friendly - good for a few board games etc... I love a good cafe! much better than the chains etc
  7. Hi just noticed this and thought I'd chip in - 'Focused hypnosis' hypnotised me to help me do the Sheffield half marathon earlier this year. First time I'd had it done, and it was amazingly powerful and satisfying... it's like allowing someone to bring out the sense in you. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed every second of my run, which is what I wanted and felt confident and strong throughout. I felt a lot of trust and respect both to and from the practitioner during the process and I am making future appointments to work through some other issues and habits... great stuff!
  8. Elif on Ecclesall road - proper quality, great prices. Afiyet Olsun!
  9. Well done to everyone! I couldn't make this one, but did the Sheffield half marathon earlier this year - will be back next time and try to get a few more in too - great sense of achievement and community - ace!
  10. In this time when money's value is far from stable, and hard-earned cash becomes as pittance in the light of trying rising costs... why not start valuing our time differently and get things done in an olde style... Skill-swaps. I'm genuinely interested in what folks think of this (I've been pondering it more and more... it works neatly alongside money, but it doesn't complicated itself with tax or greed or multi-nationals...), and also would like to put the first suggestion in... Im a massage therapist and I do a very effective form of Chinese massage called Tuina, which is deep tissue... look up tuinauk.com for more info. I am also an English language tutor and work with kids, and I do reiki. I'm looking for a hair-cut (a good-quality trim, nowt fancy but nowt crap either!!) So, any hairdressers suffering from frozen shoulders? RSI? Stress and tension? Let's swap! Let's open the Sheffield swap-shop
  11. Well, it's looking extremely wet... I'm working the festival, and feeling pretty grim about it, so please come down and add the human element that can out-weight chilly feet!
  12. Thanks for all of those - I may even strap a couple under me bra straps to stop the sweat!
  13. Is there a shop in Sheffield that has crystals or meditation equipment?
