Hi, Did you ever get this sorted, need similar work and wondered if you would recommend who you used ?
-
Just an update in case anyone's interested, full fibre in and working, good steady speed, landline connected a day later, so all good so far.

Might have no bearing on your issue, but my W10 laptop changed the default printer to one that was cloud based (dont know how or why) so maybe worth checking.

How would a oral contract be enforced, surely hard to prove who said what ....
-
What if its just a casual arrangement, ie no contract, what would the position be ?

Thanks for all the replies, VF say i can keep my existing home number but i have read a fair few people have had issues (i know its only people with problems who post, so there's no doubt many who are happy), currently with Sky who simply dont seem to want to keep my business, hence looking for alternatives.

Considering VF for fibre broadband, wondering what others experience was with them ?

Hi, Thanks for your reply, if thats the case I need to find a listing of which providers can offer digital voice/voip and keep an existing number, wont be ideal as we dont get a good mobile signal and if internet should go down, no phone connection.

Slightly different situation, I have FTTC and coming to end of contract, area is now full fibre and no providers seem to want to offer FTTC which is fine for my use, would consider FF but only BT seem to be able to keep my existing landline number which I would like to keep if possible, anyone else managed to re contract FTTC in a FF enabled area ?

We were in a similar position (as i guess many are) of having had work done that strictly required permission, but we went ahead and purchased from our landlord who it seems are notorious in extracting money but we had no checks that we were aware of carried out.

Anyone know how far the 81 bus service is getting, last TSY tweet had it terminating at Malin Bridge.

Is there an easy way to use cloud back up ?
-
That sounds a really useful option if it indeed leaves all other data / files untouched, anyone actually used that and can confirm ?

House Buyers Survey - Recommendations
peteh1 replied to peteh1's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
Was kind of thinking that a surveyor would have insurance cover so that even if they missed an issue I would have some comeback to get it sorted ? Guess thats really what I'm paying for. -
House buyers survey, looking for a competant and reasonably priced RICS surveyor, any suggestions welcome. Property is in High Green. thanks.
