  1. Totally agree with you there, this sort of bar you describe is the last thing West Street needs- it already has too many grimholes!
  2. I went in there for a drink last night and what a great place- had a great glass of timmermans and the decor inside is so nice, can't believe a gem like that has been shut all these years.
  3. Hi all was wondering whether there will be some sort of red carpet or arrival area this evening that people not attending can go to where there maybe the opportunity to get autographs.
  4. As someone who has worked in the caravan insurance industry I would apply caution with storing at farm locations. As a rule of thumb if an insurance company insures you at a location they should honour a claim provided you have the relevant security fitted to the van. However when applying for insurance or changing storage, insurers are no longer accepting farm locations due to the high volume of caravan thefts- unfortunately locked gates do not deter caravan thieves!!! Particularly any caravans over a value of 10k generally won't be accepted at farm locations.
  5. That's a good idea! Come to think of it my dad used some thick gardening twine for our water bottles when we thought we'd lost the white stuff that normally comes with them.
  6. I'll start saving mine up and see if I can help next weekend when next in Shef- my housemates read broadsheets so plenty of paper lying around at the moment, will be glad to get rid of it!
  7. I've had problems like this with my bunny in the past and can sometimes be a tooth problem where they can't drink out of the water bottles as a result. Hope you're bunnies are ok and can get them sorted!!!
  8. Hi- once I am back in Sheffield end of September beginning of October would be willing to go with someone, I hate the idea of these poor rabbits being treated in such a way. Hidden camera anyone?
  9. These were delicious, and especially remember when I had one while I had my tonsils out in hospital. They should bring them back!
  10. Well I'm a student and was absolutely appalled by the state of Crookes Valley park yesterday when a family left leaving carrier bags, beer cans everywhere- its so lazy and such disregard for an otherwise pleasant environment for people to spend time in!! Also heard the friend of the family telling their child to shut the f*** up and another guy to the right of me with his baby bouncing her up and down chanting BNP. We felt very uncomfortable and went to weston park instead. The sun obviously brings out the worst people!
  11. No I would be worried too! I have rabbits and would never dream of leaving them covered over in the day as when it gets warm they hate the heat and find it hard to control their body temperatures. I have a large rabbit to and was told that the height of a rabbit hutch should be large enough to enable it to sit on its hind legs with room. I hate people who don't know how to look after pets properly!!!
  12. They at least need to put better ticket facilities at the back of the station if they do intend to carry this through. At York station I'm pretty sure you can access the station from the end where the museum is and not have to go through a ticket barrier. Down south I used to use bristol temple meads station and they have a much more sensible idea of having the barriers at the entrance to the platforms that way you can cut through their access ways, buy a ticket and then be checked. Putting them right at the back of the station just seems more hassle than its worth, and think platform barriers are far easier.
  13. More worryingly I saw he posted that he regularly goes rabbiting with his rifle, so hope he's not setting up his own breeding programme for baiting bunnies!
  14. Hi! From September I will have more free time and will be living in Sheffield. Back home I have 2 rabbits and adore them so if you'd like any help I'd be happy to lend a hand!
  15. As an owner of two rabbits, please make sure you read up before you get one and really consider if you can take on the responsibility. Please don't be rude to the people on this forum who are not only animal lovers but people who daily take in and rescue abandoned animals whose owners no longer can handle looking after them. Common things I've seen with other owners are the lack of the following considerations: 1. They need plenty of space to run round and a hutch will not just suffice. 2. Plenty of hay- this is a rabbits main diet to keep healthy and not just rabbit food. 3. Vaccinations from myxomatosis. 4. Regular petting and love- rabbits get very lonely if not in regular contact!!!
