Sorry for the negativity.
To be positive, the crossword is actually online. Every day - https://metro.co.uk/puzzles/quick-crosswords-online-free-daily-word-puzzle/
I probably have not explained well enough. I was hoping to find somewhere where I could pick one up most days. Not expecting delivery . I rarely go on busses or trams early enough.
Prefer the paper copy, but thanks regardless.

Travel line have told me that there is a news agents that drops the Metro off at the various points.
I'm rarely on the busses early enough to get the Metro before they have all gone.
I struggle with depression, but I find that doing the Metro crossword lifts the mood. I'm no boffin, so it is just right for my level.
Does anyone know the name of the agent , so I can go online and try to get the phone number? -

With you 100% there. If it saves just one life search me whenever you want to.

Knife crime seems to be one of the most common reports we hear about in the UK. Mainly young lifes being traggically ended. I don't know if the police are on top of it, or if it is reducing.
I don't know what the answer is Daddy. What are your thoughts for eradicating the heinous crime?

The solicitor's switchboards will be.

I see manslaughter charges ahead for the company owners.

Anyway.... @Janus if you watch the first few seconds of the video I posted in post 8 you will hear that this sub is "unapproved and not certified by any regulatory body", so expecting it to have a "black box" is probably a stretch.
If this incident ends tragically, I can see regulations being enforced.
-
So no 'black box' on board these things?

Morning Pat,
Has your Avon rep got back to you with the phone number of your Rotherham rep?

I think the real contention amongst people is the amount of money that certain trades can and do command. But isn't that supply and demand the reason.
For example if a very large percentage of the population became undertakers would the £££ thousands that funerals cost come down?
Shouldn't the contention against any trade or profession be directed at the disonest individuals ?
The garage mechanics telling the naive customer that their car needs lots of work, that is totally unnecessary.
https://garagewire.co.uk/news/father-and-sons-jailed-for-conning-motorists/
Or the solicitor firm that duped Doncaster miners for example.
https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2008/nov/18/law-mining
If we look for long enough we would see examples of many other examples of disonesty in most trades and professions.
I think the word is Greed.

You need to be out of town to get really cheap
Like Rotherham
Was you referring to renting or buying?

I don't really know about them and how they function. I am willing to look at them. Do you know much about them?

I would consider that. Would be better than my current situation.

Just a point of interest, as it is not everyone that understands that 'saying'. The Cat being swung refers to the 'cat of 9 tails' and the interest in Sadomasachism. Of course, even more room would be required for that.

I have only been thinking about a one bedroom bungalow, but I'm aware that I am not thinking too clearly with the stress I curently feel.
I was under the impression that flats can be noisey with the other residents. Realistically any home can have noisy neighbours

I have lived in my current house for many years. It has 3 bedrooms and large gardens back & front. I have struggled for years to keep on top of the garden. I can no longer tolerate it and am overwhelmed with the situation. This is not how 'home' should feel.
-
A Serious question. I am looking for the smallest home possible, and I don't want a garden.

That is a fair drop from Sheffield road. It is opposite that walkway ramp from the canal path up to Meadowhall South tram stop. The undergrowth fortunately probably cusioned the drop somewhat.

I was cycling there yesterday evening. I've never personally seen so many emergency personnel together at an incident .

Re OP,
I don't think these people will be concerned with the ongoing inflation when they go shopping. It is hard to understand how their work /responsiblity is compatible with the money they are being paid. It is easy to spend the tax payers money eh.

Them 6 packs of walkers unsalted crisps with the blue salt sachet were selling at £1 in the pound type shops and discounters not so long ago. I was going to get some from Tesco today. £1.95 now. No thanks.
Tins of soup are over a quid for one now.
-
There is a limit to what people will pay for any item. Some prices are now silly. It cannot continue indefinitely. Is anyone aware of things that are simply not selling due to the ridiculous inflated prices.

The problem you have is that banks are continually changing apps because of security. You may not need a 64 bit phone now but that may change. No harm in future proofing now.
Virgin money app, I have deleted it from the phone (security) and put it on the Sam TAB S2, but even that is limited to Android version 7. A bit safer, but am not keeping the balance too high until I have a phone with advised version.
I agree that things can change in the future

4 hours ago, HeHasRisen said:Some banking apps now no longer work on phones that only have a 32 bit processor so in terms of future proofing you would need a 64 bit one. It will be in the spec of the phone when you buy it, check before you hand cash over
I didn't know that . Thank you for advising me. I wonder if the bank has a tech dept that can tell if I need 64bit for their app? The method of contact with that sort of dept is not always obvious.

My S23 Ultra was £1400
Ok, thank you. The £100 figure was in respect of a second hand phone. I can afford the phone that is needed , I just don't know which is needed
