  1. I have a data cable connected between pc & phone. The phone is recognised and the photos that were taken with the phone can be viewed on the pc. I wanted to send a photo from the pc to the phone. When I “right click” the photo that is on the pc I do not get an option to “send to the phone”, like you get an option to send to a memory stick for example. This is also happening with mp3 files (and I guess everything else),the phone is not showing up as a location to send to. Anyone know why?
  2. The modern condensing boilers that are being fitted seem to be more economical than the previous types. After the initial installation costs you will probably see a difference in running costs.
  3. I don`t think we`ll hear from the OP. I posted a reply on 28th Sept- 2 days after the original post. He could not PM anyone back as he has only made one post, even up to now.
  4. Jane, for the 12x8 greenhouse that I had I put down a concrete base that was 13x9. Had the greenhouse there for 20 years.
  5. If it really was his testicles that he nailed it would be there was a man.
  6. The material/construction/firmness of a base will certainly effect the comfort of a mattress. As an aside, what you mention about pain going from buttocks to ankle area sounds like sciatica.
  7. I don`t think it matters if a signature cannot be read, but there ought be a name at the side of it or somewhere on the document/letter. So, I think I know where you are coming from with the question. An example-royal mail offer the recorded delivery service. It is possible to obtain a copy of the delivery slip with signature (online or from RM directly). Royal mail do not have to request that the signatory writes their name under the signature, even though there is an area on the card for the name. So, you can put the effort in to get the copy (as proof, for whatever you are involved with) but you may still not be in a position to state the name of the person who signed for it. Can be frustrating in some cases, and I guess you have had a need to know the information yourself for some reason-hence the post.
  8. I can`t help thinking that companies just over complicate the simple straight forward things.
  9. Yes quite possible. The thing is, in the past, and as we speak, projects which were estimated to be a certain figure have gone way over budget-often seen with defence contracts to build xyz. I assume the gov just pay it. In the case of the Port and power stataion it will not concern the UK if it goes over budget. Staying on topic, yes BF I can certainly see the positive aspects that you refer to. For example, the new port has cost ÂŁ1.5 Billion. The forecast is that it will create 27,000 jobs in London and the South East AND each year will contribute ÂŁ2.7 Billion to the economy. You have to grab deals like that.
  10. The new container super port has now opened in Thurrock Essex, and has received it’s first vessel. It is owned by Dubai based DP World. Recently it was reported in the news that China and France are financing (investing in) the cost of the new UK nuclear power station. The UK government has agreed to pay these investors (in 10 years when completed) double what the amount of wholesale energy costs now). Mr Cameron stated that this is good news for the British tax payer. Is he right? Or, when the UK infrastructure is being owned by other countries, is there anything to be concerned about? Personally I don’t know.
  11. That is exactly what I thought. Could it be that it is the new insurance scam, now that the insurance companies are wise to the “crash for cash schemes, and whiplash brigade” Exhaust needs replacing. Owner saws through where cat is located, and reports it to the police and gets a crime ref number, then claims on insurance. Exhaust systems with cats are expensive-more than the policy excess.
  12. YRKS, when they say in the terms " a connection to the usage", do we know what that is referring to exactly?
  13. It is hard to believe that a thief would crawl underneath a car armed with the tools to remove the catalytic converter. Considering that almost 25,000 of these have been stolen between 2010 and the first half of this year, there must have been occasions when the owner has came out and drove off while the thief was underneath. Is there more room under a 4WD? Maybe they only target them?? Surely the scrap dealers would be aware what is going on when a guy comes in to the yard with the platinum & Palladium? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-24811143
  14. (Thanks Micky & Corgigasman for the clarification). Micky, when you say we get the best level of after care I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean Baxi "look after you" in some way?
  15. I cannot contribute further in a positive way (can of worms) Good luck, and I hope your friend gets it sorted.
  16. Yes, this is the type of info I need. Thanks for the replies-all good. Just one question Corgigasman-when you say that the platinum 10 year warranty is available on the Baxi (as well as the 7 year), do you mean that to get the 10 year deal you have to pay extra but the 7 year deal is inclusive? Thanks
  17. Hi Sarah, I can tell you only want to help someone-even passionately (that is good and an honourable trait), but with the greatest respect I feel we are not really getting the full story here. May I ask, where was the defendant’s solicitor when the conflict between the verbal taped statement and written account became apparent ? When the defendant appeared in court, what happened when the solicitor representing the defendant brought the issue of statement conflict to the attention of the court?
  18. The 55 year old male cyclist injured yesterday 08.00hrs in a collision with a black Vauxhall Astra on Whirlowdale road near the junction with Abbey Lane has sadly died. A 26 yerar old woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. Condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him.
  19. BBC4 9pm-10pm Timeshift: “Documentary that explores the lost world of coal mining, and the social & cultural lives of those that worked in what was once Britain’s most important industry” May cover something with local interest. My dad worked at the pit. I’m sure there will be members on here with some sort of connection(s)-relatives/friends that worked in the industry
  20. Do you specifically need them to be made of flexible material?
  21. Boilers-avoiding bad models from good makes. I understand that the new Ideal boilers are quite good now compared to the models of two years ago. Do the engineers on here know which are the new models of Ideal? Also, any guidance on specific models of Potterton and Vailient would be helpful. Thanks
  22. Mine is only 390watts and they only run until the moisture content in the location is down to what the stat has been set at. Set at the “normal” position in the bedroom after getting up, mine will run for an hour and then switch off. If one continues to run (in a bedroom for example) either the moisture stat is set incorrectly or the room is extremely damp (or the window is open). 390watts is nothing, maybe similar to a small fridge. A kettle is around 2000watts.
  23. They send the cheques out to you regardless of checking manually though, unlike the lotto.
  24. Hi Tombob, What are these type of pots made from? Are they like them pots that tomato plants were/are sold in but smaller?
