  1. I've been with Startrescue for a number of years and because I've never had to use their services I got a small discount. I renewed last month and my premium went from £49 to £61 because my car is now 10 years old and is now more likely to break down.

Your last choice was the first EP (remember them?) I bought Pattricia.

Prior to that they had been 78rpm vinyl records.

  4. You need to live in S4,5 or 6 to obtain a permit. Proof of address is required along with a current rod licence and a passport type photo.

The cost is £60 for the first season ( joining fee, permit + gate key ) then currently £25 thereafter.

Permits can be obtained at the pond Sat/Sun mornings 10 - 12 during April.

It's a mixed fishery and they can be caught on a variety of methods and baits.

  5. I went with my parents a couple of times to the Pontins at Brixham in the mid 70s. We used to set off on the friday night, get so far down then try to have a kip in the car before continuing the next morning.

Last year, the missus and me spent a few days in Brixham and had a walk along to where the camp was, it's now a housing estate.

  6. I work in  the Hillfoot area of Sheffield and yesterday there was a small bird of prey perched on  a girder in the factory for a few hours. Many people thought it was a kestrel or a  sparrowhawk but after looking at numerous photos taken another colleague, who's a keen ornothologist , is convinced it was a juvenile peregrine.
