We were speaking about a 'purple elephant' sat behind me were we not? Such a thing will not happen - hence the flawed theory. It is an argument for life after death surely. If we see something unusual - which cannot be explained rationally, surely there must be something in it. Which then leads to the argument of - if there is such a thing, what else is there out there? Surely seeing something with our own eyes, something 'not natural' to us or should I say - out of place from the norm - surely then there is an argument for life after death. Seeing a 'see through horse' in the middle of an old roman road whilst a passenger in a moving vehicle is something 'not natural' to us all - and whilst I read explanations or others comments into what is happening around the area, nothing comes back as proof that this is a hoax or a 'reflection' or 'mists' etc.. I have not seen the 'purple elephant' so I cannot comment on it (thankgod - unless drugs are involved ) however, I have seen some very strange things that people cannot prove false. If that all makes sense??

When the tories were in power? Miners strikes - if I recall. Depression amongst the public, and the feeling of dread. Only got better when Tony Blair came into power - cue the 'Things Can Only Get Better' music and the gloom started lifting.

I heard somewhere that a LOT of cash has been injected into the economy to try and sort us out. Was it the G20 meetings? I can't remember to be honest but I am sure it will all sort itself within the next couple of months.

The 'hypothetical World War' I started out with has got lost along the way it seems. The original question I asked was - IF.. there was another 'real' world war - would you enlist or object to going to war. World War 3 could not happen - apart from if the US attacked us. Simple as that There is no other major threat to us or the US around the world. Russia are not the power they once were. France do not have the resources. Spain/Italy would not do anything. Germany have nothing. Iraq/Iran/etc do not have any kind of strength we have. Hence - no opponent - no world war.

Apologies.. missed this bit while flicking from one thread to another. Of course I would defend her, what self respecting man would not do. Again, not something that would majorly happen over here but I understand the message you are trying to get across. The only point I could make is that - how to say it.. Nobody could 'rape' our country nowadays.. and by 'rape' we mean - go to war with. Nobody has the resources apart from the US. Would not happen
