  1. Just a topic to warn all you sheffield joiners/laborours/ tradesmen to steer clear of this fly by night outfit! i have had the unpleasent pleasure of working for this agency... They dont pay your wages i knowi havent been paid and of at least 4 blokes still waiting payement. when i do get in contact with Pete, Matt, or Roy i get the answer that they dont know if i will be paid this week... I even got threatened that if i went to their office that Pete would knock me uncontious...LOL LOL LOL...They try and blag their way round sites, when not one of them knows what they are doing.Lie and cheat you out of money.dont pay expenses that they expect you to pay up front... What kind of company doesnt even supply screws or fixings to do the job at hand.... Be warned as they are advertising in job centres thanx rant over
  2. i got mine in early this year for a change...lol... I filed my return online for the first time..Let me tell you I was in exactly the same boat, i eventually had to goto the tax office in rotherham and sit and go through it with an advisor.... still i got confused, but got their in the end, came home did the return online.... got my cheque 2 weeks later, which suprised me the moral of the story is your best bet is to book an appointement at tax office and go through it with them.I found em really helpfull HTH paul
  3. i like to see a good debate, keep the replies coming... I too can't abide the kids on motox bikes etc, tearing up grassed areas all over, its not always bikes that do the damage either there's idiot kids in their landrovers that go illegally, giving us more responsible 4x4 owners a bad name. I can assure you i take my hobby/sport seriously and abide fully by the G.L.A.S.S rules and regulations,.... heres a vid of our trucks doing what they are made for,on a legal lane in derbyshire.... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xQLXlKbpivk&feature=related
  4. not bad trucks them.. i never saw one offroad untill recently at kirton. is it a shogun/pajero chassis?
  5. evening pal, where do you go greenalning?? have you done chapelgate or stannage?? i try and get up derbyshire as often as possible, love it try us on northern-monkey-offroad.com freindly bunch and loads of outings with no truck biasty
  6. hi there was just wondering how many forum members own 4x4s and how you all use them?? personally i own a mitsubishi pajero,i done loads of mods to it to make it the go anywhere truck that it is,
  7. no point in waisting your money unless you've had your alternator tested,as it will soon knacker the new battery,
  8. like jenncakes says... there is a reason for the flat battery... can you test the other battery as i stated in previous post. if the volts drop and do not raise again, chances are you alternator is shot saying that a pals bmw kept losing charge,he took it to bmw and they couldnt find a fault...on several occasions he went back to bmw but still they found no problems.it turned out to be the light in the boot wasn't turning off when the boot was closed, thus flattening the battery..HTH paul
  9. if you have access to a multi tester, get your car started, then put your lights on, full beam, if the voltage drops and does'nt go back up, chances are the alternator is fubbard!! i have come across this on 3 occasions since xmas, on my truck, next doors car and his van too.on all 3 occasions it has been the alternator. have you checked the battery terminals?? if loose the battery wont hold charge,HTH paul
  10. i'm confused now on how the gutter sits on the soffit??as i have never come across this is their any chance you can post a pic?? as far as i'm aware you can't fit gutters to soffit,as the soffit is the underside of the facia/bargeboard as shown in the illustration....
  11. you say your soffits are leaking?? i've never come across a leaking soffit??unless the roof is leaking and going through the soffit, you say the existing soffits are 70years old. this means they are most probably asbestos.it usually is a low grade asbestos, but still needs to be removed through the right channels. as for price to have them replaced, you have to bear in mind asbestos removal, condition of existing facias,eaves,etc...probably looking between £500 and £1000 depending
