*Felicity*

I watched The Matrix last night for the first time in years. I'd forgotten just how seriously it takes itself, and how much of the supposedly iconic imagery is pilfered from elsewhere. It's looking very dated now too. 8 out of 10 for the gorgeous Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves, but 5 out of 10 over all.

Silver foil on fillings. Ice cold water on sensitive teeth. Knives scraping on plates. Feet. People fiddling with their contact lenses (but it's fine when I do it). Moving something in the garden and having crawly things scuttle about. Accidentally touching a slug.

What's that one like? I was thinking of ordering it (but for the 360). I'm currently playing Super Obama World on the PC.

I've never walked out of a film, but I'll admit that I came close to it with The X Files: I Want to Believe. That one was shocking. Such a disappointment after the TV series and the first film.

A Nightmare Before Christmas. Miracle on 34th Street - newer version. Scrooged - it's a bit too sickly-sweet at the end though. Home Alone - but only the first one.

The 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street is better than the original. Richard Attenborough is an extremely convincing Santa .
