i lived on phillimore road for 29years, went to phillimore school and then on to handsworth grange. i've got some great memories from darnall, colleridge youth club and starworks, kids dont have anything like that, these days.

did they ever go drinking in the victory club in darnall? i know sue and ian yates who often go there, have they a son called christopher?

just wondered if anyone can shed any light on the Thompson Gang???. As a child i were led to believe that my great granfather Harry Thompson was a member of this so called gang!! Or has anyone any memories of Harry??? All i know is that he fought in the first world war and he was possibly from the Darnall/Wyburn area????????

i grew up with terry's grandson in darnall, terry still lives in the darnall area with his family. sadly derek passed away a couple of years back now, but i remember him with his horse and cart. he used to have the stables at the back of the ball inn pub on darnall main road. derek was a well known face in darnall as he had a little trading stall outside the back doors of morrisons
