Girl walking in middle of Barnsley Road
natjack replied to Jillybabes's topic in General Discussions
Did you do anything? Stop, ask her if she needed help, call the cops? Or just being nosy now you're safe home and nowt on telly? -
Grab the pix, scan them and put them on one of the family history sites. There are always people crying because another relative just throw all their family pix away. You might be able to reunite them. Do a good deed.

Thought it closed down before Christmas?

Congratulations, Dame Jessica. You're young for a Dame, but well done. You had the courage of your convictions when it counted, don't let people with warped moral compasses ever put you down.

Do intelligent people have (or like to have) less friends?
natjack replied to Waldo's topic in General Discussions
Fewer friends ... Just saying! ? -

Given that there's average 15k electors in each ward, looks like between half to two percent in most areas, then? More in Rotherham, obviously. Not exactly going to set the world on fire, are they. A few contributors seem to have misunderstood the op, though.

Should I be allowed to burn the flag if I want to?
natjack replied to Halibut's topic in General Discussions
Publically burning a poppy is also a symbol of no allegiance to or respect for the customs of the country you're living in. Would you say? -
British Gymnast Banned For "Mocking" Religion
natjack replied to Penistone999's topic in General Discussions
. From what the talking head on tv said, Muslims don't mind other religions being mocked, it's just theirs that should never be questioned. On pain of death ...? -
please tell us you're kidding us. All the posts on this thread explaining the facts, and you can still post this. Bizarre.

Local french councils ban the "Burkini" on French beaches
natjack replied to pmurtdlanod1's topic in General Discussions
you're way off topic. Still having problems following the line of discussion, I see, you daft old duffer *said banteringly of course*. Nadiya seemed quite shocked to see young people in the 'old country' wearing modern clothes and socialising in public. The birthrate has also dropped from 6.3 to 2.3 over the last 40 years, due to contraceptive advice and education and improved services. I find that quite encouraging, as Bangladesh had one of the highest birthrates in the world in the 70s. Although the hijaab seemed to be absent, whether they've adopted the burkini wasn't actually mentioned, sorry. -
Local french councils ban the "Burkini" on French beaches
natjack replied to pmurtdlanod1's topic in General Discussions
Good find, carosio. Nail on head, and for all western countries, not just France, I'd say. And yet, their countries of origin seem to have mostly moved on. I noticed in the gbbo winner travelling around Bangladesh, she was usually the only one wearing a headscarf. -
Gove drops support for Boris and decides to stand!

Bit of a shocker, typical Boris? -
Sheffield bumble bees dropping like flies?
natjack replied to Dozer's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
The big bees are more prone to collapsing, so I've taken to carrying a little bottle of sugar water, if I see one comatose, I carry it to a plant and give it a few drops on a leaf. Bee doctor me -
Embarrassed themselves, innit. The second half it was like they'd never even met before. Did anyone on that field even know what they were supposed to be doing. Manager's fault?

A big shame if it's happening in Sheffield. But why do you think it might have been some one from the forum?

. The where lands? :

Reading that, it's another scaremongering and threatening attempt. On balance, I'd still prefer an out. We just have to suck it and see. Have a sense of adventure, man! We also have to remember that a referendum decision isn't binding on the government, so even if it's an out, it could still be an in. So what will happen if they do naysay it? We'll just tut and carry on like we always do, I suppose.

Me? Whatever it you're on, I dont want any of it, thanks. You know what they say about people who write in purple ink? Seems like it's true in your case.

you can do so and I'm not saying you're wrong necessarily, but I'm suggesting there are more than there are Muslims, they don't make such a fuss about it, that's all. ---------- Post added 07-06-2016 at 20:54 ---------- don't worry, old son, that's not going to happen. no matter how much wishful thinking you do. The world on the whole is secular and becomes more so with every passing year.

come on Mel, that's a bit insulting to genuine Christians. There's probably a lot more practising Christians in the UK than there are Muslims. We know you are a protector of the faith on here, but no need to be rude, is there?
