Only just seen the replies... Let us know what got said at the meeting about this if you attended... And as for weight limit it must be able to hold a lot of weight with the busses going up and down there...

I always just do what the other poster said, have a look through to see who's up there before I go through... I've messaged Sheffield city council about this again yesterday and had a reply today, they are going to look into working with Rotherham to consider this road as an option to be re opened... Things are only going to get worse traffic wise as the Waverley becomes more and more developed.

Just to update on this matter... I received no replies from either councillors for Sheffield and Rotherham via email, they are now digging all the roads up around catcliffe to add another lane as the traffic is building up worse everyday as more and more families buy houses on the new Waverley development.. I continue to use the Wood Lane link road (albeit illegally) and have noticed most of the residents do on my street... When I go up it there's usually another car or two also using that road! The bollard remains permanently down but still a no entry road... Ridiculous!

Waverley, Catcliffe area is the up and coming new area at the minute.. They reckon it will be completely finished in the next ten years, including a new school, doctors, etc... They're are quite a few houses that have been built now and the pub on the end of the village is finished and open.. Lovely food I must say!! But that is the new village that is being built at the moment in sheffield.

I live in catcliffe and now the gate has gone I use that road constantly to get home! Yes I know I'm breaking the law and if I get done il accept my punishment but it saves me a good 10-15 mins on the journey home

Hi hi all, my house and my neighbours are both "bought" houses and not rent or council rent. They have a tree on their garden that is over growing over to my garage roof and is slowly getting bigger and leaning all over my garage roof. It's also blowing it's leaves all over my garden.. My question is can I trim it from my side? I hardly ever speak to them because there never in but it's getting worse... Just want to know if I can get up there from my side and trim it from our side... Thanks
