  1. Ahh right thanks Angel22. I might post on freecycle as well. Someone will get some use of them Im sure as some are not that shabby...just im moving soon and wont need them.
  2. Hello, I have a single duvet (an a cover), a double duvet and 4 pillows all free to good home. Wondered if they might be any good for rescue centre? Might have a few old towels too. Also, an Indoor Cage suitable for a small guinea pig or rabbit perhaps. is used and a tiny bit wire broken but its still secure and might be good for a homeless animal if needed. Can be collected from Walkley S6 tonight, tomorrow eve or would have to be after next tuesday otherwise. Thanks for reading and please pm me if interested.
  3. Hi, I have a plastic indoor hutch for small animal (was used for guineapigs but only a short time & now they are rehomed). I am wondering if anyone would like this in exchange for a pet carrier? I am helping someone take on a kitten in the next couple of weeks and as money is tight i figured see if anyone needs/wants to do a swap. Unfortunately i dont have a car, am based in s6. Please pm me if interested. Thanks.
  4. Feline, Are you collecting now? I personally wont be in but someone should be...if you know approx time arriving please let me know so i make sure she is in (& up to hear/open the door! ;-) ) thanks.
  5. Hi, sorry not been able to check internet. Bedding can be collected mon/tues if that suits for sure? I have text maryjane anyway. Thanks x
  6. I did put msg on another post but no response so try again. Ive had a sort out and got some old towels (plus an old dressing gown) plus few bits of old bedding if these would be of use to one of the rescue centres. I dont have a car to take them but if anyone can help to collect for a centre then they are welcome to. Im at lower walkley. Please reply or pm me. Thanks.. Sarah
  7. Hi, I have had a sort out - got some old towels and sheets (and an old dressing gown) that might be useful for one of the animals shelters. I would drop off but dont drive, would anyone like to collect this saturday morning from Lower Walkley? Please reply or pm. Thank you!
  8. It was treated with fence&shed paint which i read on it & asked a gardener friend that it would be ok. it is also lined with some plastic sheeting which should be safe too. :-) I bought Westland compost high quality stuff & mixed in some vermiculite & other peat compost as friend recommended & i looked it up on various sites. My garden does get good morning sunshine...but not much this past few days as i dont think anyone has anyway!! :-( where is summer?! Haha. Thanks for your advice and questions.
  9. Thanks for that advice, i didnt know slugs dont like coffee grounds! I know they dont like citrus peelings so thats safe too. :-) I wanted to post a pic of the planter i built vut wasnt sure how. nevermind.
  10. Thanks Joat. :-) Im hoping to get it all planted up today but so many seeds say plant up to May and i know were only a few days into June but didnt want to have left it too late to get anything to harvest! I guess it also depends on weather conditions too,but will make sure i feed stuff too. I have some slug pellets as do get a lot round my flowers and strawbs but guess i need to check if its safe on veg plants? Im excited about growing things this year, its so nice to have a garden.
  11. Hi, today i completed building my own planter from some old wood which i have treated to protect it etc. just wondering what would grow well in it? Especially as i feel ive left it a bit late to start things? Im quite new to gardening by myself (i.e. my own garden!). Would like to try courgettes and maybe some runner beans...am i too late to start these? Advice greatly appreciated! :-) thank you.
  12. Just to update, have just sold Cilla. :-( Sad but she'll be well cared for and handled by her new owner im sure. Head looked lots better today, which was good. x
  13. FAO: LittleMermaid (your PM box is full) or any other mods please.... Hi, You recently moderated and closed my for sale ad (Corn snake for sale) http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=762153&highlight=corn+snake Is there any way of reposting this please? Someone seemed very keen and I was asking when they wanted me to deliver the snake, only since then I havent heard back from her so i take it she's no longer interested. Therefore I need to try to sell the snake still! Thanks.
  14. Yeh I listened for any noises - snuffling etc and she seems fine in that sense..more just the strong movements. she was out and about on and off today and looks spot on around eyes/mouth/nose so i dont think its respiratory infection and the head/dry bit doesnt look infected. If she gets any worse or i notice breathing probs etc I will get her looked over properly. I was hoping someone from here was going to buy her, but all of a sudden stopped contact after more or less agreeing a sale. Right now I just want her to be okay!
  15. Well the first scale bit was sticking up for a few days by itself, but like you mentioned I figured we graze ourselves etc so thought she might've caught it on her cave or something in viv...then the little bit went but now she's shed she still has the kind of dry bit and a tiny bit of skin attached top of her head....only I cant get that near to her head to get it off and still worried about handling her (my ugly fear has reared its head again!). She otherwise seems her quiet self, although she keeps lying directly under heat mat and just now she seems to be breathing quite hard (like a snoring motion?!) but i dont think ive seen er do that before but she's usually under cave! Im up in Crookes, will try to get a picture if she comes out sometime and post it. Thank you carpetviper. :-) x
