  1. Desperate to find a new job, looking around, been mucked about by 3 companies and one particular agency. Got turned down by Capita for not having enough experience in pensions and then set someone who works with me who only started last year. So fed up, I work hard, I'm a damn good team leader but can't get anything at all. No chance of progression where I work for at least two years and want a new challenge. Yet everything I touch currently turns to poo!
  2. The reunion nights the Occasions guys are running are doing really well. They just had Eazy D's birthday party last night. Ratpack came up, they've had Asterix and Space, Top Buzz and Rozalla. You can find them on facebook if you want further info. They are using Occasions as the venue, believe the next one is on Halloween.
  3. Or the delightful scene I witnessed last year outside The Devonshire Cat when a group of muppets in the flats leading towards Corp were urinating, spitting and throwing empty bottles at people in the street. I'm not sure how it came to pass but they ended up on the street, abusing all Northerns as scumbags. Regardless of the situation, someone was lucky not to be seriously injured. A sad state of affairs and no mistake.
  4. Saw, what I now know to be either the ISS or the Shuttle on September 10th at about 9pm. Fantastic. Now did anyone see the fireball that flew over Sheffield last night about 3:15am, I watched it for about ten minutes. Absolutely incredible. (and no, it wasn't a Chinese lantern, this thing was huge!)
  5. I'll tell you what though, at about 3:15 this morning I saw a fireball going at a right speed over Abbeydale Rd. I initially thought it was a reflection or a headlight, but once I'd discounted those idea's, i honestly thought it was a plane on fire. I watched for a good 7 or 8 minutes, the speed the thing was traveling at was unbelievable. It certainly wasn't a Chinese Lantern, unless they travel at 600 mph without diminishing in size and keep on a perfect line. I doubt it was a UFO, but then again, why would a comet or meteor be so perfectly in line the whole time. I managed to get some footage, but the quality isn't great, but I know I saw something that wasn't a headlight/reflection/lantern. Did anyone else see it all??
  6. Crystal does serve a good purpose, it's keeps all the posing idiots out of decent places.
  7. It's a company of people who know about as much about running public houses as you can fit on a stamp.
  8. It's going to shut, so whats the point of going to a venue that will be closing in the very near future? Apologies for the incorrect info, it's off Campo Lane, not Trippets.
  9. It's off Trippet Lane. Shame really, it's a nice venue just run completely wrong.
  10. As they've had there electricity supply cut off. Why do people who can't run pubs bother buying them? To be honest, looks like they'll be shut soon too.
  11. It's closing anyway, it'll be shut within a month. Or they're lying to the staff.
  12. I think that generally there's a lot more rude people with no manners everywhere regardless of the person. To simply say it's all students is a daft thing to say, there's plenty of people who aren't students who are rude, bad mannered and have the manners of turds. Like life, there are all sorts of people. As long as you're polite and well mannered I wouldn't loose any sleep over it.
  13. Erm, I hate this kind of "i only like one genre" discussion. It's barmy, blinkered and very short sighted. Besides, I'd hate to be into only one scene, it must be terribly dull to leap on every passing bandwagon just because they're in the genre you like and it's suffering a lull. Anyway, back to the Dj list. The big clubs in the country are still packing them in with the trance scene, regardless of how "trendy" it's viewed so it makes sense that trance dj's make the top five. Also, trance is the main scene in Europe and the survey is worldwide isn't it? I don't agree with it, but PVD is a bloody popular dj, not my cup of tea. I'd have liked to see Optimo or Stuart Price get the nod but they didn't. Ah well.
  14. 4th largest? You must be joking? London, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Portsmouth, Cardiff and Edinburgh are all bigger surely and a better night out.
  15. You see, that kind of comment really makes me wonder about the sanity of the poster. Do you honestly think that Kingdom is the best nightclub in the whole of the United Kingdom? You must be having a laugh. Each club, as long as it's a member of BEDA can vote for a club. The standard voting has seen the big five swap awards for years on the understanding they all win every now and again. I've been to three BEDA awards and it's horrific.
