  1. We used a lady called Sylvia, brilliant instructor, patient and friendly! 07956 862052
  2. Highly recommend the Hilsborough Hawks, our son plays and it has been great for his confidence. All abilities welcome... great team, set up and everyone helps the boys and the running of the team and those involved is fab! Really family friendly atmosphere.
  3. Hi there, Our son Daniel is looking for a team, we are local to Crosspool and dan knows a few of the boys in the team, if they are still there. Dan can play in any area, but has taken to defence, but also enjoys it in goal and happy to try out for any posistion. Please let us know if dan could come along so you can have a look at him. Thanks Alison
  4. Strines Inn has the peacock sanctuary behind the pub, it's fab. If you need advice, maybe give them a call at the pub.
  5. We have used the above, however we hit the jackpot with a lady called Sylvia. She taught our kids at the hilton at quayside (nice warm pool) she was fantastic with my 2 boys and very patient. 07956 862052 Highly highly recommend!
  6. Does anyone know any decent property that would consider Housing Benefit?
  7. Im having a tv placed on the chimney breast, we have took the chimney breast back to the bare brick and there is a fireplace bricked up, we would like it to be made into a little cubby hole for dvd/wii etc, but in a contemporary style...any recommendations for someone who can do it?
  8. I live in the south west of the city, an area called 'Crosspool', property a little on the pricey side, but some of the best schools on the doorstep. Its a brilliant community and walking distance to all local amenities, shops, pubs, restaurants and churches. It is a bus ride or a 20 min walk to the bigger shopping areas of 'Broomhill' and 'Crookes', which is also another great place to live, with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. The best thing about living here is we are on the doorstep to the countryside, only 5 mins in the car to fantastic walks, resevoirs and a golf course (expensive golf membership though), but only 10-15 mins on the bus into the city centre. The bus links are not always very reliable, but thats what we have become to expect in Sheffield and traffic can be a pain at busy periods and when it snows everything stops!! lol. We just not used to snow anymore, so when it comes everyone freaks out. Sheffield is improving, and would say in another ten years or so, will be a fantastic place to live with lots of different cultures and religions, which sheffield council do embrace. Hope that helps, if you need any help with choosing a certain area, let me know and might beable to give you the low down on particular areas.
