  1. Hi, We're planning on moving to Owlthorpe (S20) but before we do I've checked broadband speeds and providers. I can't get any definitive answers and wanted to find out from anybody that lives up that way what sorts of speeds are you getting and who are your providers? Fed up with slow broadband, and would be peeved if would have to live with it again! Thanks in advance
  2. Just wanted to say thanks to Andy and Dan from City Wide Heating Services... absolutely brilliant, honest and very reasonably priced gas plumbers. Very happy with them will be using them next time and would like to recommend them to everyone else... Now we have gas and hot water again and my little baby is happy!
  3. Like I said earlier Agbus, Richard Dawkings is far more gracious in his approach to pushing his views on others than these guys... It still baffles me why people battle for something that is still on a scientific theory, until they can 100% say there is no God, and they can 100% say how the world was created there will always be major loop holes in the theory. Because faith doesn't really exist in their world it would not be plausible to understand why Christians believe what they believe...
  4. You can't prove evolution and you can't prove the big bang, you don't know how it all started... any scientist that says otherwise is a false prophet!
  5. You freely preach your religion of Atheism in this country... When were you persecuted any more than Christians for standing on what they believe? (You have faith in "nothing" - seems rather pointless to me) You don't know true persecution...we live in a country where freedom of speech and though is both a blessing and curse. But you don't feel the fear of death and all that pertains to true persecution. Let me turn your question on it's head. Are Christians persecuted when atheistic laws are put in place? What makes the pendulum swing correct? Your preaching for change to swing in the favour of atheists, but then doesn't that put Christians in a place of persecution surely?!
  6. I just hope your wish of being "Truly" persecuted doesn't come about. I have a feeling that you'll be eating your own words one day. Your obnoxious... We're all taking part on these forums, as you post we're kind of forced to read your drivel. Here have some persecution, let it be the start of a torrent of persecution: "Go away and torment somebody else!"
  7. You seriously are one of the most negative and narrow minded people I've ever met, it must be a bag of joy living with you... Reading your posts is like rubbing my eyes with sand paper...
  8. It's not more valid than the others. It's just the truth! We could end up going round in circles here though, which all come back to faith. So without that in mind, I hope I gave you guys something to chew on, it was fun...
  9. Good question Altus, I think that teaching firstly that God created the heavens and the earth and then expanding on that to how it may look for different people... Like I said earlier, I have Christian friends who believe that it wasn't a literal 7 days, I have friends that believe that the big bang did take place... The one constant throughout is that they all attribute it to God, this would be the way to teach creationism...
  10. Proof = Look around, the world was created, it has a beginning, it didn't come from nothing, Richard Dawkings can't even tell you that. So your whole theory is based on something that you can't prove because you don't know where it comes from? Surely the fool would say "Yes something came from nothing" at least I attribute that to God and not nothing. Richard Dawkings has stated many a time that he/nobody knows where the first neutrons came from... etc etc... Surely that's the foundation of your entire theory, yet hold on, it has no foundation. Ultimately it all comes back to faith, which in reality has no place with science and thus the arguments become incompatible. I'm all for creation being taught in schools. I will always actively promote this. Ultimately God wins... and like you gentleman who don't believe as fact that He exists why try and spoil what others hold on to as a hope and a future. In all religions there is the good, the bad, and the ugly for sure. But what harm does creationism bring to people other than they make seek out something that ultimately science can not disprove, and famous scientists refuse to claim the opposite that there could be a God, a higher being, or an intelligent designer...
  11. Excellent, but Richard Dawkings "think it's highly unlikely" - which does mean - he wouldn't believe it... But hold on, you state as fact that something doesn't exist... prove it doesn't exist...
  12. Have a look here: (5 minute clip) - I'm actually pleased that Richard is honest about it and a lot more giving in his approach to creation than you gentleman... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wj1a9ZeKHU0
  13. Interesting, Richard Dawkings wouldn't even believe that...
