  1. Ok long story short. I have had a bump in my car, the insurance company has taken it away to be assesed. Originally they wrote it off on a CAT B which I disputed and persueded the engineer to downgade to a CAT C. I have just had the car back and it has come back in a much worse state than it left. Now every panel on the car has additional damage as well as lots of damage to the interior. The insurance company says it is not liable and is not being very helpful with resolving the issue. To top it all off they had actually sold the car onto the scrap merchants before I have confirmed I am willing to go ahead with the claim. Something I was sure was illegal? Has anyone had this happen to themselves? What advice can you give me? Am I right in saying that until I acccept and offer and confirm I am willing to go ahead with the claim the car is still my property and they had no right to sell the car on?

  3. Try neem oil for the skin, we use it on our shar-pei when he gets dry skin. Sorts him right out and gives him a nice shine to his coat!!

  5. If you run it in the evening I may be able to help out with some backing projector images, live visuals etc. If I am free of course!
  6. This is gonna be massive, I have it on good authority there is going to be a show like sheffield has never seen before. This will be an event that is being talked about for years to come.
  7. After a successful first party, Restless is back with a bang for the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend. Continuing with the theme of showcasing the very best in local talent, we think this line up will get your taste buds tingling: Russell James (House Proud) Bob Kickflip (Fat! Records) Nick Davy (Restless) Chris Moore (Bio) RUSSELL JAMES is a local legend and should need no introduction, having played at some of the country's finest clubbing venues including Gatecrasher One, The Sanctuary and Air in Birmingham as well as abroad in Ibiza. During his action packed journey behind the decks he has already worked along side some of most established names within the industry including The Trophy Twins, Ingo Staar, Roger Sanchez, Micky Slim and Kissy Sell Out to name a few. Bringing Steel City breaks straight to your ears, BOB KICKFLIP is now established as one of breakbeat's most respected producer/DJs. Now signed up to The Fat! DJ Agency and previously resident for Sheffield's premier BUG & Urban Gorilla nights, Bob has played gigs up and down the country and also hosts a fortnightly show on NSB Radio. Be sure to check Bob showcasing his own unique brand of hip hop, funk, techno and hardcore influenced breaks along with his trademark scratching. Restless resident NICK DAVY will once again be playing his interpretation of House Music, with support from CHRIS MOORE. £7 on the door, £5 concessions Saturday, April 11th 2009 10am - 4am Penelope's (next to the Odeon Cinema) 53-55 Arundel Gate Sheffield, United Kingdom
  8. Thanks to all those who came to Restless this weekend, everyone seemed to have a great time. Chris moore started off the night superbly, he did a really good job warming everyone up nicely for Alan Chapmans set. Alan tore the place apart, playing an outstanding set which has undoubtedly earned him a residency.... You will be hearing more from him. Finally we had our own superstar, Nick Davy. He was left with a mammoth task of following on from Alan (he went a bit mental at the end of his set!!) Lesser DJ's would have struggled but nick managed it and rounded off a superb evening of class music. Keep your eyes peeled, we will be announcing next months lineup soon.
  9. Don't put carpet anywhere near where people are likely to dance... I hate that. Decent air-con is a must too. Nothing wore than drowning in your own sweat. Oh and a well sorted soundsystem, one that sounds loud but you can still speak to people - they are rare but very special!!
  10. Hey JLemon, What weekend is the do on? I run a night a Penelopes on the 2nd saturday of the month. It's a tech-house night so very much dance oreinted but the DJ's I book are all accessible and good to dance to. All my mates from outside the dance scene enjoy the music. If you are interested, give me a p.m. and I can sort you a deal for group booking.
  11. High quality music and a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
  12. You could always come to Restless @ Penelopes on the 14th and you can see exactly what I can do
  13. I am looking for club owners/promoters that want to add a little something to their events by adding the extra dimension of visuals. I can provide visuals for live bands and all types of DJ's fitting the visuals to suit each event and music type. If you are interested in booking me please p.m. me.
  14. Just play music that keeps people dancing throughout your set. As long as you can mix reasonably well that's all that really matters. All the fancy tricks in the world can't hide a rubbish tune selection!! If you are asking what you need in terms of equipment, I would buy the cheapest setup you can. If you can sound good on that then you'll sound good on anything plus you are not wasting hundreds/thousands of pounds if you can't get on with it.
  15. Morning It looks like I have been let down by my electrician. I am about to have my bathroom tiled and I need electrics sorting out for a shower before the tiles go on the wall. Only problem is... that is happening this saturday!!! I really need someone reliable and in the next couple of days. We haven't currently got an electric shower in the bathroom so we'd need a isolator / safety switch fitting as well as the feed to the shower. If you are an electrician please P.M me ASAP. Only qualified electricians please. Thanks
  16. It's all about education people!! I used to be an avid follower of Feel in Preston, some amazing DJ's all very high class house. That place educated an entire town in what quality dance music should be. No hype no fanfares, people just showed up cos they knew there was going to be some world class music!! Would be nice to do the same, they had a bit less competition than in Sheffield tho!!
  17. We don't aim to be UG 2... But that doesn't mean we can't use some of the quality DJ's they have played there in the past. I am trying to blend a nice mix of local talent with some people further afield. The main aim is to have a very high level of quality, I don't really care where they come from. The only reason the UG residents are being considered is that I really enjoyed clubbing to their music. We will only ever book one resident from UG's old roster at any one time, otherwise we might as well call it a UG revival and that would be a bit silly!! In terms of supporting new nights, every city has the same issues with getting new nights off the ground... how to get the punters in. It's a case of getting a reputation of excellence early on. Hopefully we can do that but who knows... I don't have a crystal ball!! What I will say is watch this space, I will announce the lineups soon and then you can play your part in supporting a new night in sheff
  18. Its funny you should say that, my partner is contacting the UG residents for future gigs. Hopefully they'll be interested....
  19. I am probably going to get shot to pieces here for shamelessly promoting on my own thread.... oh the shame... Anyway... I am going to be hosting a new night @ Penelope's near the odean that I think you'll like if you liked UG. We are planning a launch in mid Feb. I want your opinions on any DJ's you'd like to have there. We already have some Ideas but I would like some input from future customers So if there is anyone you have seen recently that has blown you away please let me know and we may book them for future shows. Think House, Tech House Techno and only the best electro.... No cheddar please.
  20. Hi Danni, Absolutley no cheese is fantastic, just please be aware that I am looking for music that is good in it respective genre/style but is accessible to as many people as possible. What that basically means is don't fall into the trap of going too deep. The aim of education is to keep the interest of your students... ie keep em dancing!! I have been sent plenty of mixes in the past that sound superb but don't make my feet itch!
  21. Straight off wikipedia... Thought it was quite funny given WYEXILE's comments!!
  22. Mark Knight IS superb. I am hoping to book him late next year. I will be able to start revealing a bot more about what event this posting is for in a couple of weeks time!
  23. One word from me and he does what he wants unless I have a treat in my hand!! Where is lotti based?
