Yes we were notified of the possibility yet at lunchtime yesterday it was all confirmed. Not much time to arrange childcare. Now i have to explain to my work why youre not at yours.... seems unfair but then what is in the UK

On strike at 48 hours notice? Thanks teachers. Ooh 60 hours a week? Small pension? What a crock! I trained for years. I take peoples health in my hand everytime i go to work, i worked 78 hours a week and i get no pension and will die at work as i cant ever afford to retire. Try catering for a week and tell mee your job is so bad. Maybe you could mull over it in your next 2 week holiday! Jokers! If ya dont like your job get another and let my kids get an education while i cant take my children on holiday out of term bit you can all strike!!!!! Ya like the banks... f o s

I remember when ice skating was a little fun thing we used to do for about £3! I took my 4 year old to Ice Sheffield today and admission plus her skate hire cost £15.60 plus £3.80 for a penguin for her to lean and learn on not to mention the session was a mere 2hrs. It used to be on par with all the other things you can do such as swimming. Ponds forge same 4yr old and me £6.20 for example. I felt robbed from the outset and then to find the condition of the wc's appauling and other facilities likewise. I'm a realist and I do understand that things are expensive however I can also tell my ass from my elbow and left totally disappointed with the experience..... Another rip off in Sheffield........... The best chippers are Maris Piper or King edwards reds and I would always cook in polyunsaturated fat such as sunflower or rape seed (crisp and dry). Dripping will soak into the chips and make for a stoggyer chip. I personally prefer a crisp golden outer with a soft fluffy inside. I'm sure many puritans would disagree but there would also seem to be dietary issues with the use of Hydrogonated solid based fats against plant oils. Hope this helps regards
