£1m police bill for the demonstration in Rotherham??
mrs brady replied to trav4's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Ok if we take ‘race’ out of the equation totally. Doesn’t anyone think it’s a quite a bit insensitive and a massive insult to the poor innocent children who suffered unimaginable things at the hands of these men, which sparked a demonstration by the public to protest about how the situation by establishment dealt with this in the first place and then to use such a vulgar amount of the resources we all pay for, to police the demo. Why wasn’t anything pumped into protecting these vulnerable girls especially when they all knew what was going off, they didn’t have to do it publicly either , they could of protected them covertly and still covered it up . <Removed> -

I reckon this 'says it all' http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/local/police-arrest-rotherham-abuse-victim-after-she-confronts-alleged-abuser-in-the-street-1-6841597 Police have arrested a victim of Rotherham’s child sex abuse scandal - after she confronted her alleged abuser in the street. The 28-year-old woman was arrested in Rotherham on suspicion of racially-aggravated public order offences, after she saw her alleged abuser walking through the town centre and confronted him. -

That is exactly the same thing what happened to me ,and a lot of my friends too I reckon it's a good enough reason if any . Any credibility the BBC did have diminished incredibly when that happened.
