Evening! Im looking for info on the old pubs of Broomhall. Landlords, stories (pictures?). Theres not much out there at the moment! Be interested to hear about Aberdeen House, Albany, Bath Hotel, Broomhall Tavern, Brunswick, Derby Hotel, Dog & Gun, Domino, Ecclesall Tavern, Hodgson Arms, Lincoln City Arms, Milton Arms, Poplar Tree Tavern, Scarborough Arms, Sheldon Hotel, Sportsmans Inn, Sunny Side Hotel, Vine Tavern! Any progress on this place? Also- what period was it opened in the 80s? I've heard it was only open for 3/4 years and shut around 1989?

Hello! As part of my research I wondered if anyone has any info about the Alexandra? It was run by William then Emily Hattersley between 1953-1983. Were they married or was Emily another relative? Any info appreciated!

How was it? Not much out there about the Crows Nest- I think I've only ever seen one picture!

Yeah- I couldn't work out if the signage was meant to be so discreet you wouldn't see it but it looked like it may be closed!

Does anyone know what year the original Harlequin shut? Was it around 2005?

Does anyone know if the Norfolk Arms at the end of Leadmill Road was newly built c1968? Its unclear whether or not the pub was rebuilt entirely or the old one was renovated. I'm doing some research and I wondered what was the last estate built by the council? I think it's the one at Darnall with the Fiery Fred pub which was finished around 1982? Anyone know any different?

I'm looking for info on the 2 pubs at Kelvin. Out of all the pubs mentioned these 2 have the least info available. Did anyone use them? Does anyone remember the landlords? Does anyone have pictures? Any help appreciated for my research ?

My father in law, Bob Crawley, grew up near the Old Bowling Green pub and has shared a few stories with me but any info (and especially pictures) people could provide by pm (I can provide an email if required) Im particularly looking for info on the Beehive, Brunswick, Crown, Ellesmere, Hodson Hotel, Prince of Wales, Victoria, Wellington, Who Can Tell Thanks! I have a fair bit already but I have a number of blanks- particularly around the dates these pubs shut/ when demolition of surrounding housing took place. Any help appreciated
