Hi David, can you remember Charlie Spriggs he lived on fitzhubert rd . the top of Basaldine rd. where do you live now. I lived at the bottom of woodthorpe close 1935 to 1959.

What was the reason for the demolition of the manor estate it was a nice place in the 40s & 50s.

Hi manor lady,sorry dont rermember there second name dont think they went to Prince edward school,Iam not even posative they were twins. they were both very blond, same age as my self & iam 75 now.

The obrians i knew lived on the corner of basaldine rd & Queenmary rd. Tom Walter & Pat, i lived on woodthorpe close about 100 yds away from 1935 - 1959.

hello manor lady, i went to prince edward school from 1945 to 1950, during that time i knew 2 sister called sheila & shirly i for get there second name they could have been twins.

Hi Eros, edward was a close freind of mine. He use to stay to school dinners i use to go home for dinner.When i got back to school to find edward he was lieing in the gutter with a blacket over him,the cleaning truck had a step on the back i was told edward was standing on the step & the truck reversed & ran over edward,His mam never really got over it she seem to distance her self from everyone.it must be almost 70 years ago now & iwill never for get that day.

Hi eros i lived at the bottom of woodthorpe close 1935 -1959 went to standhouse school my freind was killed outside standhouse school with a drian cleaning truck in the early 40s but his name was EDWARD HOPSON I WAS THERE. He lived at the bottom of queenmary rd near woodthorpe close.

hi Texas, you did really well with the second names. what years was that. did you ever know a girl called Sheila forgot hers second name. in the 50s. pretty, tall , blond she never missed a sat night often went in the Albert.

Put a surname to all the sheila 's you knew in the shiegreen hotel eara in the 50' & 60's.

Hi BERTHA,You are right your Sheila is about 5 years to young. but it is so strange i was even born in attercliff, but it was in 1935 but moved to the manor in 1936, I know it is not your Sheila but if it was she would know Barry hunt & Terry leary . ps Iwas hoping it was. regards Roy

hi rogG,There are so many differant veiws out there but you may. be right about the residency ,no one seems to know for shore. Travel insurance is ok but not much use if you have pre existing conditions.
