I recieved a letter today from my gp inviting me to make a appointment to have the swine flu jab (due to having asthma) I had swine flu during the summer and other than being bed bound for 5 days, i had no problems. I don't think I am going to have the jab.

Mine doesn't arrive until after 2pm!

Yes, I've been to see them twice, they are excellent!!!! The first time I saw them was at Boardwalk then got talking to them in the Corporation after. The singer is from Sheffield, the bass player is from Huddersfield, don't know about the other band members though.

IF my child had decayed teeth, I would not rely on "dental milk" to fix the problem! How much fluoride is actually added to the dental milk? It cannot be enough to cause any damage to a child or surely it would not be allowed?! It is up to the parent to decide if they want their child to have it or not, just like it's up to the parent to make many decisions for their child..

No, my child does not have any fillings or decay! Every parent is entitled to make their own decision as to weather they want their child to have "dental" milk or "normal" milk. I personally do not wish for my child to have "dental" milk, mainly because I don't think he needs it (I never had it as a child, and my teeth are ok) As long as it is still up to the parents to decide to opt in or out I don't see why it is such a big issue, everyone is entitled to their own opinions on the matter.

It already is available at some Sheffield schools. A letter is sent home from my son's school asking if I want him to have normal or "dental" milk. I always choose normal, my son cleans his teeth twice a day and I do not think he needs any more flouride.

I got diagnosed with swine flu through the call centre then called my GP to ask about sick note. I was told that I should start to feel better within a few days of taking my medication and shouldn't need more than a week off work in which case a self certification is enough. He also said that when the symptoms have gone, I will no longer be infectious. My 5 year old son who has been with me all through me being ill has not yet caught the flu (luckily!)

I've just found out that I have it. Was diagnosed with tonsilitus on Tuesday, started feeling much worse today and have been vomitting and have high temperature. I have the medication and have been told to stay at home for a week. I have a 5 year old who is not showing any symptoms, I really hope he doesn't because it is not nice!

I recently moved to a council property after always previously living in private rented accomodation. I have had to take 2 different days off work (unpaid) for Kier to do work on my property, work which should have been checked before I moved in (Boiler not working and bathroom sink leaking) There is still stuff that needs doing but I can live with until they do the decent homes upgrades. I am also a single mother and work full time (so pay rent and council tax). The only reason I have moved onto a council estate is so I can buy the property in a few years.
