  1. My late father used St Christophers a lot before he passed away. He always used to say that they did an excellent job, were really friendly and were cheaper than their competitors. Not used them since he passed though, 5 years ago so obviously can't vouch for them now! Glad to see things don't appear to have changed
  2. Errr no, but the subtext definitely implies a slight dig. Just wondering what the craic was. No problems with it personally!
  3. I'm a Stannington girl and we use recyclable bags and read online newspapers. What's wrong with that?
  4. Wanting to know this too! Can't see it being anyone that's any good mind! Do you know if alcohol is sold inside?
  5. I'd be very interested in this as my brother has a big interest in the paranormal!
  6. I park just outside it for work when I start at 7am. Can't get parked for free unless I start at 7. Due for a hospital appt on Tuesday so not getting to work while 1ish...do you pay at the meters at the back of the car park???
  7. Thanks for all the help guys. I'll probably head to Sheffield Scene this weekend. I remember seeing a postcard of the SWFC football ground in a newsagents in town which would have been perfect for him, as he used to work there, but can't for the life of me remember which newsagents! Duhhh...
  8. Yes he has a computer. We're just hoping to bring back the times of snail mail and send things to each other. It's always nice to receive letters and small gifts/tokens through the post He's French as well so i'll be practicing my written Francais on him
  9. Hi guys Anyone know of a place that sells Sheffield postcards? Bit of an unusual thing to ask I know, just sending one to a friend who misses Sheffield loads so it's a bit of a laugh between us! Cheers in advance
  10. Best Western Cutlers Hotel is SPOT ON. £60 for a double executive room (kingsize bed rather than double, larger bathroom, DVD player, DVD library, ipod dock) Standard rooms are £50. Very central location too on the high street When my partner comes down to stay and we go on a night out in town, we ALWAYS stay here. The Novotel is a good choice as well.
  11. Hey guys. Basically wanting to watch the game in a decent pub with my younger brother. He's only 15, do you know any pubs that lets kids in til about 9.30ish or am I out of luck?
  12. Haha I know him. And i'm a Wednesday fan. Not happy lol
  13. Any idea how much roughly it will cost? My Senegal parrot could do with his claws cutting as they're too long!
  14. Nice 8 mile walk from work today! All uphill from town to Stannington! Secretly enjoyed it though
  15. The passenger in the Audi is a friend of mine. He's not doing so well. I should know the driver of the Audi as well as he is same agegroup and will no doubt have gone to the same school. Only know his first name. Hope everyone makes it through. R.I.P to the other lad driving, turns out, we have many mutual friends so no doubt our paths will have crossed before
