  1. hello, I am looking to throw a party in feb 2010 has anyone used an indian or chinese buffet, who come to the do and cater. Or any good buffet ideas. Cheers

Hello, Does anyone remember anything about the following business in 1973 Budget Carpets who were at 125/127 Ecclesall Road, S11 9PJ (next to Ward's brewery, between Renton Street and Summerfield Street). They were also at 26 Spital Hill. I am trying to trace an employee from then, long shot i know but hope someone can help. Cheers

  4. Fantastic, fun and friendly circuit training every Wed at 5 pm and every Sunday at 10 am. Held at Moss Way Police Station near Crystal Peaks £2.50 per hour session. The session is very friendly and all welcome. What you got to lose other than a few pounds.

The old works building opposite Ponds forge (now a all you can eat chinese buffet now i think) and the gothic building in the boneyard at Attercliffe near Mcdonalds (greenland Road) are both good buildings oh and the boozer just up from Sheffield City Hall (Lloyds i think) they are good buildings.
  6. I am the youngest of 7 who lived on Edgewell Place up to 1983, i used to spend my 15pence pocket money on a grapefruit from alfs. We were the woods family if anyone remembers them.
  7. Went last Saturday evening and were the only table eating the restaurant was totally empty. However they had put on a do downstairs with a buffet and that was packed. Meal was brilliant had the scallop starter, duck main and a totally brilliant tasty brownie with creme anglaise that was blooooddddyyy lovely. highley recommended.

  9. Bloody hell i must have been poor, i used to play for hours with the football collect cards and a jar of odd buttons. Oh and plastic soilders, i had green american ones and i think the germans were blue and japanese were yellow. Ha
  10. I think it was Mr BRUCE who died, he used to be in the detention unit and make you stand in pressure positions till your legs hurt. HA HA
  11. I was at westfield 86 to 90. Mr LESTER was my form tutor. Bumped into him last week at the New westfield, He still looks the same.
  12. I was the youngest of 7 and got eddy grant and free meals (pauper), I got a pair of Brouges (ha ha) i think they were burgundy and a pair of plimpsols and a Parker with the orange lining and mucky grey fur. Come to think of it what the hell was the fur made out of.
  13. My brother Clinton WOODS (Boxer) and i learnt to swim at Hills bro baths. I can picture it now the changing rooms were at the side of the pool.
  14. Hi, Does anyone with a long long memory know of a carpet company in Sheffield located at the City end of Ecclesall Road called STAR or BUDGET carpets. I beleive the manager in 1973 was called Keith, he eventually left to start a OAP nursing home with his wife. Cheers.
