  1. Hehehe that's my picture! It got a massive cheer when it appeared!
  2. Good PR and some promotion would be exchanged if anyone came forward. The event is in Endcliffe Park and we bring loads of visitors up Ecclesall Road so it would be great if the people of Ecclesall Road wanted to help us out...
  3. I'm in need of someone to provide a Buffet for 100 people at a large event this weekend. Just some sandwiches, nibbles and some cakes/buns etc. Is there anybody out there who could help for free or do it for a really low price?
  4. Here's Sheffield Pride's latest press release! Look North, Calendar will all be there. It will also be plugged on Radio Hallam and Capital Radio.
  5. Here's the full line up from Sheffield Pride. The event is at Endcliffe Park on Saturday 16th of July 2011. This is a thread like the Tramlines one to discuss the event etc. Who's going this year? β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ Trouble Stage β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ http://www.troubleonline.co.uk 1:00 David Jonson http://www.davidjonsonmusic.com 1:15 Cubstars http://www.facebook.com/pages/CUBSTARS 1:35 The Moot http://www.mootmusic.co.uk 2:10 Jazz Blaack http://www.myspace.com/jazzblaack 2:30 Chasing Dragons http://www.myspace.com/musicchasingdragons 3:05 Red Dragon Belly Dance Troupe http://www.sophie-mei.net 3:20 Miss Kezzo http://www.facebook.com/misskezzo 3:25 Hail To The Eskimo http://www.hailtotheeskimo.com 4:00 Balkan Bandits http://www.myspace.com/thenazdrovehouseband 4:35 B-Desire http://www.b-desire.com 5:10 Beauty http://www.beautysmusic.co.uk 5:40 Eva LaDiva 6:15 Electra http://www.electraofficial.com β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ Kitty Litter Cabaret Tent β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ Hosted by Warren Peace with DJs: DEAD DOLLS, VINCE SPITFIRE and WARREN PEACE & Special guest compΓ¨re: JACK THE LAD http://www.facebook.com/pages/Warren-Peace-Presents/55615451045 1:00 Gemfleur http://www.myspace.com/gemfleur 1:30 Early Cartographers http://www.facebook.com/earlycartographers 2:00 Bam Bam Blue http://www.myspace.com/dancewithmehere 2:10 Doc LeRoc http://www.ministryofburlesque.com/members/doc-leroc.html 2:20 Ruby Rose 2:30 Glistening Pelt 3:00 Kitty Liquor http://www.ministryofburlesque.com/members/kitty-liquor.html 3:10 Adam Heyes & Tommy R Jones 3:40 Duke DeMilo http://www.londonburlesquefest.com/duke-demilo 3:50 Natubella http://www.myspace.com/natubella 4:20 Amelia Valentine http://www.myspace.com/amelia-valentine 4:40 Chronicles of Graham 5:10 Freaks Outing 5:50 Roflcoptrz http://www.facebook.com/Roflcoptrz β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ Dance Tent β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ 1:00 Michael Wright [Revolution] http://www.the-plug.com/events-and-tickets/revolution 1:55 Emma Kirk [Climax] http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002083886316 2:50 Electric Soul Sounds http://www.myspace.com/electricsoulsounds 3:05 DJ Michael Johnsson http://www.michaeljohnsondj.com 4:00 DJ Carl Dean [Lions Lair] http://www.igloomusic.info 4:55 Jay P http://www.myspace.com/jaypofficialmusic 5:10 DJ Dutch Cassidy & DJ Violinman http://www.dirtycheese.co.uk 6:05 John Dixon [Lions Lair] http://www.djjohndixon.com β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ Home To Let Community Tent β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ sponsored by Home To Let http://www.ahometolet.com Family activities, arts and crafts, games and workshops 1:00 Face Painting 2:15 Craft Session 3:30 Painting with Donna Jones 4:45 Childrens Talent Show 6:00 Circus Skills Workshop Plus more activities throughout the day. β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ Scubell's Urban Music Tent β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ 1:00 Jah Blessed DJs [Reggae] 2:00 Zumba with Kelly Ann 2:30 KIT [soul / Funk / Disco] 3:00 Shazzlyn & Eneeta [Reggae] 3:30 Jah Blessed DJs [RnB / Reggae / Soca] 4:00 Kassa West Affrican Drumming 4:20 DJ Stevie Wonder [Lovers & 90s RnB] 5:00 Sanity & Quests 5:30 DJ JP [Old School Garage] 6:00 Jah Blessed DJs [urban] β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ Purple Ink Womens' Tent β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ Hosted by Nicola Fearnley, Purple Ink Training http://www.purpleinktraining.co.uk and Claire Mooney, BBC Radio Manchester http://www.clairemooney.co.uk 1:30 Emma Johnson http://www.myspace.com/emmaskajohnson 2:00 Kayla Kavanagh http://www.kaylakavanagh.com 2:30 Bay Whitaker http://www.myspace.com/baywhitaker 3:00 Nic Harding http://www.myspace.com/nichardingmusic 3:30 Lucy Spraggan http://www.lucyspraggan.com 4:00 Chrystine Moon http://www.comedycv.co.uk/christinemoon 4:30 Poetry / Open Mic 5:00 Claire Mooney http://www.clairemooney.co.uk 5:30 Louise Distras http://www.louisedistras.co.uk 6:00 Pariz 1 http://www.myspace.com/pariz1 β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ T'Other Stage β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ Inclusive Radical DIY Trans / Alt / Queer Space with Live Music, DJ's, Workshops and more Hosted by Chrystine Moon, Paddy Moran and DJ's Lisa & Heather [Chicks with Decks] 1:00 DIY Mixtape Hour 2:00 Chrystine Moon http://www.comedycv.co.uk/christinemoon 2:15 Paddy Moran 2:30 Spoken Word / Poetry Open Mic 3:30 LaDIYfest Hour ladiyfestsheff.noblogs.org 4:30 Tia Anna http://www.tia-anna.com 4:45 Music Open Mic 6:00 DJ Lisa, Chicks With Decks β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β€’β˜…β€’ Other Acts β€’β˜…β€’ β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„β–„ Sheffield Samba Band http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sheffield-Samba-Band/229381310346?ref=ts&sk=wall
  6. Heyup, if you want to pay for an advert I'm sure they'll grab your hands off. Find out how much they cost and that will put you off I'm sure. Times are hard.
  7. Probably wouldn't be open in a few weeks anyway. The place is always dead. What sort of venue are you looking for? Could give alibi a try or even g casino?
  8. Sorry, I don't get this? Sri Lanka is not in India so we don't call them Indians?!
  9. They aren't Chinese they are Malaysian. They study over the summer at the universities. The Indian students are Sri Lankan too as far as I'm aware. They are here for the same reason and provide a much needed financial boost to the universities so be nice lol!
  10. Does anyone know a sheffield company who provides a service where they pick up litter in a site such as glass bottles, plastic bottles and other general waste then recycle it as well as providing the skips etc? I've contacted recycling revolution but they are busy when I need them. Cheers in advance!
  11. Sheffield Pride have a range of fundraising events. You can view them here - http://www.sheffieldpride.org.uk/index.php?page=fundraising-events Has Sheffield Out of Office been working with Sheffield Pride at all?
  12. Tell him to give acas a ring to see if they can help resolve anything. Contact details are here - http://www.acas.org.uk .
  13. Can't wait for this. Should be good! Bit more investment into Sheffield Pride which can only be a good thing!
  14. Sounds like they didn't give it a chance to me. Half-hearted Sheffield attempt yet again!
  15. Not quite Netheredge but the Lescar has one on Tuesday nights.
  16. Jay Jays on London Road should be a good start. There's also plenty of providers on the Internet.
  17. Todays Groupon Voiucher is good, Buy this voucher for Β£9 and get Β£20 to use at ASOS.com - http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/ASOS/270308/.pbsJCs
  18. Cheers for your recommendations everyone! In the end we decided to try Relish but they were full and don't allow you to book. The waiter I spoke to wasn't very helpful and put a bit of a downer on my birthday to be honest. In the end we went to the Dore Moor Inn. Again slightly disappointing as they don't do the 'Open Chicken Pie' anymore. Still had a nice night though.
  19. I'm 24 today and have a family of Six wanting to go out for a meal. It's my job to choose the restaurant or pub we go to. I don't want my parents folking out a lot so was thinkin about Β£16 - Β£18 per person for 2-3 courses. Half the places I fancy going don't display their most up to date menus or don't have a varied enough option. Has anybody got any ideas or recommendations? We'd prefer to have a choice rather than one particular cuisine. Please help!
  20. See here for todays deal! Buy a voucher for Β£12, take it to Body Shop and you can use it for Β£30 worth of products - http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/sheffield/The-Body-Shop/261082/.pbsJCs
  21. Browns ;-) http://www.browns-restaurants.co.uk
  22. Totally agree. This can work but they need to give it time to embed itself. Seems typically Sheffield to me; Put it on for 3 of the coldest months and when people can't afford to go out, make a Facebook group and sit back and wait for the custom. Errrr no! This needs properly marketing.....
