  1. The other main site i've currently put it on, i've asked them to give it a good hack, check for any weaknesses, e.g. session hijacking, xss, injection. But personally I worry about useability and understanding how you'd set up a site from an admin point of view. Do you understand how the menuing system works, the blocks system. There's still loads I want to document properly so people can test the abilities of the themeing system. Also there's about 15 modules which I need to bring inline with the current version, but that'll probably be next weekend. I'm happy for any comments really from all perspectives...
  2. Which, the main site, demo site or one of the templates? The actual sites are in a bit of a tranistional state, since it's all new... Cheers...
  3. OK... Developments via elsewhere has led to a new demo site for you to try out (details follow), there is a new release and a new documentation project. There's now 3 admin accounts and one user acount, all with the password 'password', and named as follows, admin, root, ardvark, user. The demo and documentation site can be found here: http://docs.monkies.co.uk/ There's also a new version of the CMS available for download: http://cms.monkies.co.uk/site/download.html I'll be updating the documentation within the next few days. Also i'll point out some example sites already using the CMS (once there updated to the newer version). Also i'll try and get some of the other modules in a fit state by next weekend. Any comments and such always welcome (even though my own to do list is fairly long), at cms@monkies.co.uk Cheers!
  4. Good call... I've put a little note on the main documentation page. Basically it uses PHP (not checked lately but it used to be PHP4 compliant, but is definately PHP5 compliant), also uses MySQL (will check other versions but i'm running 5), and only tested on Apache so far. Big Cheers...
  5. Hi, I've been playing for a while at writing a CMS (Content Management System) for websites. It's now at a stage where i'm happy for people to have a play with it, hack it up, give comments and obviously, use it. So, here you go, play to your hearts content, it's GPL, so it's basically free to use. http://cms.monkies.co.uk/ Any comments you can either PM me or use the email links provided.
  6. Oh it's all so simple in your world. But yeah, you do sound like your on an anti-police band-wagon. At that point he wasn't a just man who'd just finished work. He was walking in a normally quiet area which had and was the scene of protests and riots all day. So obvious was this fact is that there's a squad of fully kitted up riot police shouting at him to move on. At that point, when he puts his hands in his pockets and slows down, no it doesn't look like he's trying to move on, but pushing to provoke a reaction and get some compensation. If you read the full post, I do feel for the bloke and family, but i'm unbiased and honest about what happened.
  7. Who's they, was the officer responsible for this act asked and quoted? Surely very different. Absolutely no excuse!
  8. LOL, only in the USA... do you watch the news? Most countries wouldn't even mention it on the news for it being so insignificant and not an issue in the eyes of the law. Did you see that last week in Pakistan where they were kicking and beating a man on the ground for at least a minute.
  9. Oh, to all, just to reiterate. I'm very sorry at the death of this man (I don't even know his name), and probably even more sorry for his friends and family that are left behind. In another story today, i'm 100% behind the grieving Father who attacked a photographer for taking pictures of his grief for his own personal gain. But then I also feel guilty for wanting to know and watching. Life isn't black and white, but if I sauntered in front of the police on that day after being told to move on, then i'd probably expect a push, and in reaction i'd probably laugh, knowing full well that I asked for it...
  10. To start with they'd asked him to move on. They'd probably been told not to waste manpower or taxpayers money by arresting him. If you go back and reread the thread, yes I believe the officer has questions to answer. But by the sounds of it you probably think that all the protesters had a right to throw things and shove the police. Where's the old lady come from? As for it being my Dad, well for one I know he wouldn't be in that situation and if he did get caught up in it, he'd realise the seriousness of it all and get out of the way sharpish.
  11. Also whats the thread title!
  12. I didn't want to comment on that one, it was so pathetic! So many reasons...
