Thank you 1to1 I only posted that because i caught some little 15 year olds setting fire to the wobbly animals in the local park, i managed to collar the gobby little gits and frog marched them (protesting they were gonna have ME arrested for assault) by the scruff of the neck to their parents, whom pointed out to me that kids will be kids.. I then told the parents to step outside and adults will be adults.. obviously they refused (im rather a handfull).. i then said that i was going to call the police as i had made a citizens arrest for criminal damage and arson, the parents then offered me £20 ?????? I told them that if a donation was not made to the local community play scheme via the council i was calling the police.. net result.. £60 paid to sheffield city council by voluntary donation and the little scrotes probably got a proper slapping... I have not seen any damage to the play area in the last two weeks... if you want owt doing ????

The powers that be have realised that we the public are getting ripped of by organisations utilising an 0844 0845 0870 prefix to contact them.. These numbers are commonly used by such organisations as the csa police vosa etc etc.. problem is that these numbers cost 40p per minute from a mobile and 5p from a landline part of which is passed on to the organisation that is using these prefixes.. ie licence to print money.. there is a new number coming into play that will be 030 which will be cheaper to call and will not make any revenue for the user of the number but just how many of these organisations are gonna give up on the 08 numbers when they are getting money for nothing ??? over to you peeps and pedants :hihi:

I refer to the phone in quiz on "This Morning" That offers to pay your mortgage or rent for two years up to a maximum value of £25,000... How unfair and snotty is that ?? Ok. you are reasonably well off and are paying for arguments sake £1000 per month for your mortgage, that means you are gonna get £24,000 of prize money but on the other hand you live in a council flat and are paying say, £50 per week (£200 per month) you stand to get only £4800 in prize money ?? Am i just stoopid or is there something fundamentally wrong here ? I thought that these telly quizzes were supposed to be fair after all the recent fines that they have got for fixing, fiddling, rigging etc ?? Im truly gobsmacked... nowt like a bit of parity between the social classes eh ?? :rant: mods: feel free to move this to the entertainment section if you see fit ... ta.
