  1. Not sure if this is the right place, but we're looking for a cleaner for our home. We live in Darnall, S9 and would be looking for someone to come weekly or fortnightly. We're fairly clean people, but we're both teachers so don't get nearly enough time to clean properly. Does anyone have any recommendations, I've looked at local ones but not sure who's good and trustworthy Thanks
  2. I've not really ridden out and about for about a year. I fractured my spine a few months ago, but have had back issues for almost a year now which has kept me out of the saddle. When I'm back to fitness I'm going to get back to riding - both bikes and unicycles so will try and hook up with you if that's ok. I live in Darnall so could probably meet you round wicker and tesco way - that's where you took me up and down hills before on my 29er if you remember lol
  3. I still ride but am injured atm, I used to ride with Dave a few years back, be warned he likes to go up and down hills a lot! I'd love to start a hockey team up again (when I'm not injured)
  4. Yeah, resistance is a great game, a lot of talking and accusations. Avalon looks great but was probably a little complex for the group I had, especially since I would have to teach it to a bunch of drunkards lol. We played it with normal playing cards too so don't even need the proper game for that one Yes SOC has one traitor who is trying to fail the game - Not had a chance to play it yet as it's a little complex in places but it looks great fun - the tabletop episode was great for it
  5. I'm almost definitely going to start a group, not sure who I can get in it - looking for around 8 semi regulars, I have around 3 or 4 at present. I live in S9 so would be a bus or car journey there from woodseats I would imagine
  6. Hey guys, did this ever get off the ground - I've got a fair collection of games now and me and the wife love to play - we can also host the night at ours. I have a bunch of games; Pandemic, Castle Panic, Lords of Warerdeep, Carcassonne, Shadows over camelot, Wits and wagers, Say anything, Alhambra I also play catan and ticket to ride digitally so more than happy to play a bit of everything. Who's in then we can talk about times and dates
  7. We played up until about 18 months ago. We never had a really good team annoyingly. The best bet is to go to Teapots, its on every Monday night from 7pm-9pm, its a juggling group run by the uni, think its like £1 a week. I've not been in a while but once my kids are older I'll be attending again. http://teapots.union.shef.ac.uk/ Also the length of time of the thread is irrelevant, best ask people that have already posted rather than post something new
  8. Hey guys, I'm looking to get a wet shave for my wedding. Tried clicking on the link from MANNbawtry but it says that the site has been suspended. Any ideas where I can get a decent wet shave in sheffield now?
  9. Hey, I run a unicycle hockey group in sheffield. We practise on tuesdays from 7pm near to Dev green. Looking for a few extra members. We don't take it seriously but we do enter tournaments and are in the national league. Even if you can't unicycle but are interested come along, we'll be more than happy to teach you if you can't ride also, generally have a spare unicycle or two for those willing to learn. If you want more details send me a message.
  10. I'm pretty good at unicycling. There is a group of us that play unicycle hockey on a Tuesday night, but also mess around as well. There are about 10 of us feel free to come along, DM me for more details. We also teach ppl to ride and are all very welcoming. Going back to the where to get one comment - http://www.unicycle.com You really have to pay about £70 for a decent one. I went through 3 cheaper sub £50 ones before I forked out on a £150 Niumbs X, now have a £70 one, but have had to change the cranks and pedals.
  11. I'm quiet new to sheffield, and I have to say I agree with that the city does look quiet run down. Yes there is the peace gardens, but around the corner from there it looks like a bomb site, borded up shops and that. There does not seem to be much variation in shops and they are all set apart from each other a strip of shops here, then nothing, then randomly more shops. Why would I go to the town centre, pay £5+ for parking, walk long distances for shops and have to walk thro some areas that look quiet dodgey, when I could go to meadowhall, all the shops are along one long strip and parking is free. I would much prefer to go shopping in the town if it werent for the inaccessibility with expensive parking and eye sores all over the town. Plus I find it hard to find shops, I would prefer the shops to be in one general area, as it is now there are a few strips of shops seperated out, as I think the shops are finished, I walk some more and find them again. Free parking would solve all the problems, people wont pay to go shopping, then there are free options!
  12. Think she'll try this one as it's really close to where we live, but ill keep the others in mind in case she dosn't like them. Thanks everyone
  13. Hi, My partner needs to get her hair cut but wants to find a decent hairdressers that arent too expensive. We live in Handsworth area but can travel for something decent.
