  1. Most ferrets that are found are usualy in a right old mess as u said but the main reason for this is they are usualy ferrets thats not released by ppl but ferrets that have escaped and have been trying to rumage around urban environments, if these ferrets are lucky they may stumble across wild rats to fead upon and fight with, or if they lucky they will be be found and cared for by ppl like yourself, thats the main reason why they look in a bad state (wouldnt we all if we had to forage for our food in the wrong areas), but i disagree that ppl turn them loose because they are bad hunters ,,my reason is because the some of the ferrets that have been found are usualy the best workiers and have been lost while working underground and the ferrets that wont go to ground are never lost. simple!
  2. working a ferret is the best u can do for your ferret,,not only is your ferret doing and enjoying what it is suppose to do it is also getting the natural food that it deserves ,,so yes get yer ferrets out of that cookked up shed and catch yerselfs some fresh natural food instead of so called kibble many ppl are feading to their so called pets,,ferrets are working animals and in my opinion shouldnt be kept as pets and never to be trusted because its their nature to kill no matter how cute and cuddly they look,,ive known escaped ferrets bite and latch onto small babies,, also it is advisable to learn about any pet before you buy one then you wouldnt be posting adds about you dont know what to feed them on,,,and Yes ferrets should wear locaters when let loose outside and there wouldnt be any problems about loosing them. and may i also say that it has been proven that day old chicks contain all that is needed for the health of most corniverous animals and rapters, but nothing beats freshly killed quarry. THEY DONT CALL ME FERRET FACE FOR NOWT THA KNOWS!!
