  2. It sounded to me as thought they have built a PC from off the shelf components then tweaked the BIOS to save power. Possibly even installing a little piece of software to handle power saving. I will happily stand corrected if someone can enlighten us as to how they made such a power saving. I could then use the same method as Mr Hopton to start up my own business and raise my turnover from 380K in year three to over 20 million in year four, as per his statement on the i Player website.
  3. Actually Cyclone, i had a little suprise the other day. I was given a Samsung laptop to fix, the Hard Drive had turned into custard. I called Samsung, they told me to UPS the laptop to them asap. Three days later it arrived back at my desk, new hard drive installed and Vista re installed. Samsung.....good after sales...interesting......i may have to start buying Samsung servers now hehe
  4. With a little Hendersons splashed around for good measure.
  5. I could do this. It's not difficult. You just have to learn how. I have been building PC's and servers for over 15 years. But thats not the topic here. Everybody learns. What i actually meant, forgive me, is that i could copy this idea and sell it as Mr Hopton does. Mr Hoptons hardware, as i am lead to believe is bought as seperate components and then built by Very PC. It's more of a bespoke solution. Personally i would rather purchase hardware from manufacturers such as HP or Dell etc. As they have a strong brand. They have better warranties and a better after sales service. Believe me, i've dealt with these companies for a long time now. If you want good hardware, stick with the big companies.
  6. Josie.....Can we see these extra parts that you speak of, i take it that you have a full copy of the entire 2.5 hours that Mr Hopton spent in front of the Dragons. Can you make them available please, as we, the public, are not generally privvy to the 'Xtra Bit's' not shown in the programme's.
  7. If you read between the lines....Mr Hopton is simply saying: 'I'll cobble together some PC components and change the BIOS a bit, then charge you more than the high street would for the same equipment'. I'd steer clear. Im sure many of us could do a little research on google and do the same. His valuation of his company is confusing. Asking for 1/4 of a million for 5% is confusing.
  8. Search for 'peter hopton' on youtube
  9. All Try YouTube or download the programme from the BBC 'i Player' website. Regards
